Re: [libreoffice-users] Seeking for list moderators
Hi all, I am just new here so i am not that much familiar with anything basically, so to have a kick start I can take any responsibility. I will prefer development kind of work, but list moderating is also fine for me. The only thing is I may take some time to understand things fully. If this job requires sound knowledge of this mailing list system etc then i wont be right person. And one more thing, i have my exams next week, so for around 10 days i wont be available fully. Kindly consider all these things and guide me. On Sun, May 5, 2013 at 3:32 AM, Florian Effenberger flo...@documentfoundation.org wrote: Hey, let's not discourage people from contributing. If anyone, even people new to the project, would like to look at the moderator's job - why not? We're open, and everyone can and will find out the best place to contribute, and that might be moderation. It's appreciated if we give people advice, but let them find out themselves what they want - that's the best for everyone, I think. Re: [libreoffice-users] Seeking for list moderators
i m interested in becoming moderator for mailing list. and is it fine if i check mails just twice or thrice a day?? and thanks for the opportunity. If you are interested, the only requirement is that you are subscribed to the list yourself and read its mails in a somehow timely manner, but that's about it. Moderation means dealing with e-mails that do not automatically make it to the list, which you then manually forward, or reject. This happens either when an e-mail comes from an unknown sender, e.g. when a project member uses a different address for posting. It also occurs when someone unexperienced writes to the list, thinking it's a private account, but in fact it's a public list. You'll receive the message to be moderated via e-mail, which you then can either moderate through, or reject. Is someone interested in joining our efforts? It'd be much appreciated - just drop me an email (please also copy me directly, and not only the list), then I'm happy to add you to the list of moderators. Thanks! [libreoffice-users] problem in fixing a bug in calc
Hi.. I am Ram Dayal Vaishnav, a student from NIT Trichy, India. I am a newbie, and needs a help in creating a patch. I want to fix a very simple bug in the libre office Version 4.0.0.0.alpha1. I want to enable Horizontal AutoFill in calc. I am made changes in libo/sc/source/ui/view/viewfun2.cxx (in funciton replace ScViewFunc::FillCrossDblClick()) Now when I run /libo/install/program/.scalc it doesn't show any change. I think I am missing something (may be I need to compile/build this code so that it can reflect changes to ./soffice or ./calc file) kindly help me out, thanks in advance -- : Ram Dayal Vaishnav Gurumukhi NIT Trichy -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
