[libreoffice-users] Re: Formatting Marks?

2020-11-11 Thread remygauthier
Hello,

The only thing I can think of is that this character is the "line break"
(created with Shift+Enter) as displayed by the font you are using. For
instance, in my version, the paragraph mark shows as a solid arrow right
when the text is in Wingding font. The easy test would be to try to insert a
line break immediately after and to see what gets displayed.

I hope this helps.
Rémy.

[libreoffice-users] Re: Getting a Red-box around Cell entries or Selected Areas

2020-05-27 Thread remygauthier
Hi,
You are getting this type of message because you have Track Changes ON. To
turn OFF, you should only have to uncheck the Record option of Edit -> Track
Changes. I am not sure how it got enabled to begin with, but it could have
been accidentally activated since the Search and Replace selection is just
above in the Edit menu and your mouse could have slipped (happens to me
sometimes).
I hope this helps.
Rémy.

[libreoffice-users] Re: writer autocomplete

2018-11-23 Thread remygauthier
Hi,
The best I could find to help you is to redirect you to the help page for
autocomplete:

https://help.libreoffice.org/6.1/en-US/text/swriter/guide/word_completion_adjust.html?&DbPAR=WRITER&System=UNIX

I think you may find some hints there to get spelling errors removed and to
start with a defined set of words.
I hope this helps.
Rémy.

[libreoffice-users] Re: Calc 6.0.6.2 IF criteria statement help

2018-11-12 Thread remygauthier
Hi,
Unclaimed_slips.ods

I went back to the original post and downloaded the file you had uploaded to
Google Drive. I made what I think were the correct mods and the results on
the Summary sheet are consistent with what has been entered. I have attached
the modified file, so you should be able to download it and have a look (you
will probably need to access the post via the nabble site -
nabble.documentfoundation.org/). Once we know what is wrong with the
changes, it should be easier to provide information.

I hope this helps.

Rémy Gauthier.

[libreoffice-users] Re: How to get max date < today from list

2018-10-08 Thread remygauthier
Hello,

After considering your question, I think my answer was a bit insufficient. I
have attached a file to this post which does what I think you want. The
first sheet contains a list of items with a date that should correlate to
your music number/date sang, in no particular order. The second page sorts
the entries and extracts the "last date" for a piece ID provided on the
first sheet. I am using a French locale, so you may need to change the date
formats to yours to make the date display work.

If the upload link does not work, I will send the file directly to your
personal e-mail.

I hope this helps.

Rémy.

[libreoffice-users] Re: automatic capitalization

2018-07-10 Thread remygauthier
Hi,

You can disable auto capitalization from Tools > Auto Correct Options >
Options tab, Capitalize first letter of every sentence.

I hope this helps.

[libreoffice-users] Re: LibreOffice help menu

2017-01-18 Thread remygauthier
Hi,

Was this version installed from the LO download page? If so, you must also
install the help for offline use package if you do not want to be redirected
to the WEB help pages. If this is an install from your OS, you may need to
also install an applicable package but I do not know which one for your OS.

I hope this helps.

[libreoffice-users] Re: Calc a formula conundrum

2016-11-05 Thread remygauthier
Hello,

The easiest would be to use VLOOKUP() with maybe some massaging of the
statement messages. I have updated your file with two examples (columns E
and F of Sheet1). In my opinion, this would be the easiest way to support
multiple additions with a minimum of headaches.

BANK_STATEMENT.ods

I hope this helps.
