I think that is what Anne-ology is alluding to. Ah, ok, I didn't know that, thanks. However, the situation is that if I save the output of the mailmerge directly as a pdf (good LO, I didn't know that was a possibility) I get this behaviour, whereas if I save the exact same mailmerge output as an odt document and then save *that* as a pdf, all the pages are, correctly, landscape. It is a single page document that I mailmerge from, tho' I s'pose that could still have a first page options set. However, the fact that there is a difference between the two different save strategies, surely, indicates a bug. Doncha think? Sounds like no-one else has come across this behaviour though. Hi :) In Writer you can set the first page to have different formatting from the rest of the book so that it could be a title page or cover or something. In Calc i suspect you can set each work-sheet to be different. I think that is what Anne-ology is alluding to. I'm not clear about all that myself. Err, what settings do you mean? I tried this twice. Both times only the first sheet was landscape, all the others were portrait, which is the layout of the Writer merge document. What settings should I check? It's a mailmerge of a single address sheet with a query that holds (at the moment) 223 rows. I was amazed to find that the save document option at the end of the mailmerge will save directly to a pdf file if I put that in as the file extension. Unfortunately, the first page is portrait when all the rest are (correctly) landscape :-( Has anyone else had this problem or have I done something wrong? very strange indeed. Could you attempt again, first checking all the settings to be sure they are what you desire them to be; if it happens yet again, then maybe it's time to report yet another bug.
