Are you advocating WYSIWYG? This is diametrically wrong.

If you are looking at the appearance of a document, you can have no
idea what it will look like after you add a single character to make
that final editing correction: the amount of consequential change is
unlimited. If you are instead looking at the structure of a
document, you may not know its precise appearance either before or
after the edit, but you can be sure that both appearances will be
what you are happy with.

Absolutely not.
Everything has a time and a place.

The time for the entire page including its edge may be preview mode to
some, just not me.
No doubt, I would never try to make a database form document with out
looking very carefully at every unprintable character I could find.

Perhaps they just have it off by default? Seems silly to re-program

I think one of the new features in 3.5 is getting rid of the visible
”border” for the margins, if that's what you mean.

feature? to eliminate a wanted behaviour is considered a feature??

Please feel free to replace that word with another word of your
choice. Maybe ”changes” would be better in this case:
”I think one of the changes in 3.5 is getting rid of…”

Or maybe not, hard for me to tell. English is not my native language,
but I do the best I can. It's good enough in most cases, but obviously
not always.

No, this is not a case. Text Boundaries are still on by default, but instead
of lines around printing area, they are simply small lines in each corner of a
page. Turning Text Boundaries off will hide them.

At least in 3.5-rc3, because I had no time to test final 3.5.
