In cups, i have configured the same printers but i force the tray 1 and it works. I don't know why i can't choose manually the source. Just an idea, try under FilePrinter Settings and click on properties. See if what how the tray selection is setup. I do not have a multi-feed printer to test on. My printer is set on automatic.
