Re: [libreoffice-users] Recovered File Issues - Blank Document

2023-05-05 Thread Chuck Spalding
I suspect the reason that Options is not in the Tools menu is because the
original poster is using a Mac. The Mac version of LibreOffice has its
options in Preferences in the "LibreOffice" menu.

Ah yes. Same experience here. Experience is a hard teacher, but a very
effective teacher!

Yes it should, immediately below 'Customise' (Using version 7.5.3.2,
freshly installed). Perhaps you need to scroll your screen? I'm not sure
that this will help you with your current problem though.

Please don't take this the wrong way but, many years ago - about 35 if
memory serves - I learned the hard way to save important documents every
10 minutes to minimise potential losses. This started, of course, before
I discovered a more reliable operating system that didn't crash every so
often:-)

[libreoffice-users] Recovered File Issues - Blank Document

2023-05-03 Thread Katinka Van Dijk
Hello,

Libre Office crashed and when restarted it asked if I wanted to recover the
file I was working on and as this has worked in the past I agreed. When the
document was recovered it was blank.

Looking through your forum to possibly find an older version a few say to go
Tools: Options etc.. my tools tab does not have an Options, the kast thing is
Customize. Should it?

I've recently updated and this was the first document I had used in it and had
done about 5 years worth of forecasting in a spreadsheet, so it's a significant
loss. I really hope I can recover it.

Are you able to tell me the steps as I cannot find anything that matches the
options in front of me.

I am using a Mac OS Catalina Version 10.15.7 and Libre Office 7.5.2.2 (X86_64)

If you need any other details please let me know.

Kind regards,

Kati
