I can't break links with OLE objects! I have a document which has a large number of OLE objects that are links to other libreoffice files. I need to change all the linked objects to be embedded objects so that I can move the file around without losing content.
But everytime I go to "Edit>Links" and then select one or more OLE objects and clink on "Break Links", it doesn't work! It will LOOK like it works, (i.e. it asks me "are you sure", then doesn't complain when I say ok, and "Edit>Links" is grayed out after I do it on all of the objects, indicating that there are no links in the file anymore...) but when I save and close the file, then re-open, it asks me if I want to update the links! And the links are all there again! I've tried everything I can think of and scoured the web for a solution. It seems that there are a couple of bug reports from a few years ago, for older versions of office, but no solutions. Can someone please help?
