At the end of the day, it might be quicker to delete the TOC, insert a page and the recreate the TOC. thanks again. -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20200501 Qt: 5.14.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.69.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.18.4 - kwin 5.18.4 kmail2 5.14.0 (20.04.0) - akonadiserver 5.14.0 (20.04.0) - Kernel: 5.6.6-1-default - xf86-video-nouveau: 1.0.15 -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy

That allowed me to insert a page break but the new page had a background colour the same as the TOC and changing the style from "Contents Heading" to Default Style" wouldn't remove it. So it looks like the only work around is to delete the TOC to insert a page. -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20200501 Qt: 5.14.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.69.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.18.4 - kwin 5.18.4 kmail2 5.14.0 (20.04.0) - akonadiserver 5.14.0 (20.04.0) - Kernel: 5.6.6-1-default - xf86-video-nouveau: 1.0.15 -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy

Hi Ian, > Thanks Robert. Did you really press Alt + Enter two times? The first break will be part of the TOC, the second break will be out of the TOC. I have tested this before and saw that the first Alt + Enter was part of the TOC and will have been gone when updating the TOC. Thats didn't work due to above i guess. The only work-around i found was to delete the TOC and then insert a page then re-create the TOC. I would have thought that LO should be able to insert a page (or page break etc) above a TOC without breaking the integrity of the TOC (but you'll have to remember to manually update it as usual with the new page numbers afterwards) > > Regards > > Robert > regards Ian -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20200427 Qt: 5.14.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.69.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.18.4 - kwin 5.18.4 kmail2 5.14.0 (20.04.0) - akonadiserver 5.14.0 (20.04.0) - Kernel: 5.6.6-1-default - xf86-video-nouveau: 1.0.15 -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy

Re: [libreoffice-users] Insert page before TOC
Hi Ian, you could try this: Change the TOC. It is protected against manual changes. Set the cursor at the start of the TOC. Press Alt + Enter two times. The first break will be part of the TOC, the second break will be out of the TOC. Set the TOC back to protection against manual changes.
