[users@httpd] High CPU usage with Moodle
Hello list! I have a Ubuntu server with Apache2 to serve a Moodle web. I notice that where there are few users (4 or 5) requesting pages, the Apache2 process goes to 100% on all CPUs (4 cores). I try with memcached but it still getting 100% CPU usage. What I must check? I will appreciate any help. Re: [users@httpd] apache2-2.2.21 did not accept new connections
Can you post a snippet of what your config file for the mapping you're using for the reverse proxy setup looks like? I've run into that kind of thing sometimes and it's usually just been something like I accidentally was mapping https to http or vice-versa. [users@httpd] mod_authz_ldap - Authenticating users in Apache
Hi, I have used Apache httpd directives to configure the authenticating the users against LDAP database using httpd modules, mod_authz_ldap and mod_ldap. The authentication looks ok, but not able to find any specific directives or way to stop users bypassing web server login and try hitting application URL (application server) directly. Any help on redirecting to login on web server if any one tries to access the application directly in application server? -- Regards, Muthu Mobile: 0044+(0)782 122 7480
Re: [users@httpd] mod_authz_ldap - Authenticating users in Apache
I did this using a Directory directive--you can put your LDAP auth stuff there and apply it to the top-level file system directory of your application. Users won't be able to bypass that. (I'm assuming that you're currently using a Location directive and that your entire application lives in a single directory structure.) This will generally work for what you want to do--you didn't provide enough information in your post to provide a response specific to your situation. ~ Tom (Sent from my mobile.) Check the FAQ. This is a very common failure in third party junk products that install themselves into the network stack. The stack consists of the drivers you see in Control Panel - Networks - [network adapter] Properties... when look at the Networking tab of the adapter properties page, it will show you a list of network stack drivers. These might include Client for Microsoft Networks QoS Packet Scheduler File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks TCP/IPv4 etc. These happen to be Microsoft drivers. Third party drivers which are incompatible with the Windows Sockets API (junk drivers) will cause Apache to fail to start up; that behavior should happen no matter which Apache httpd package you obtain from where ever. What is in your list of adapter drivers? That would help us to suggest if there is something you should uninstall. The other possibility is that a malicious driver was installed for your network stack by some trojan or malware app. In the case of that possibility, it may not show up in the list of drivers. - The official User-To-User support forum of the Apache HTTP Server Project. [users@httpd] ldap authentication works for a while then starts failing
Hello, I am using httpd 2.2.19 running on Windows Server 2008. I am authenticating with ldap against Windows Active Directory. It will work fine for a while. Sometimes a day. Sometimes a week. And then I will start getting the following log message (server names, user names, etc have been changed). [Mon Oct 17 02:35:35 2011] [debug] mod_authnz_ldap.c(403): [client 192.168.111.111] [3444] auth_ldap authenticate: using URL ldap://ldap.mydomain.com/DC=mydomain,DC=com?sAMAccountName?sub?(objectClass=user) [Mon Oct 17 02:35:36 2011] [info] [client 192.168.111.111] [3444] auth_ldap authenticate: user username authentication failed; URI /aaa/bbb [ldap_search_ext_s() for user failed][Operations Error] I have tried searching for similar cases, but I couldn't find any other cases where it works fine for a while and then stops working. Does anyone have any idea of what could be causing this? Thanks! -J - The official User-To-User support forum of the Apache HTTP Server Project.
