Re: IPv6 on wireless lan
That's true, but if you have RA or DHCPv6 coming from the wired network where the AP is connected, it should work, unless the AP is filtering link-local multicast (which usually don't do by default). So, it can be used as simple access point, but you have to take care about Router Advertisement of IPv6 prefix or DHCPv6 independently of access point you use. Re: IPv6 on wireless lan
Hi Antonio, The WLAN products are often layer 2, so IPv6 works in a transparent way. Another issue is if you need IPv6 to manage the CLI or web interface of the access point, or some other features. IPv6 on wireless lan
Hi, I want to test ipv6 over wireless lan, I have seen us-robotics products, the beta firmware of the wireless 100 mbits/s products has many improvements: 125 mbits/s, Multicast, linux support with a third party comercial software. It´s possible test ipv6 with this product or another wireless lan product?. If not : It´s so easy support multicast and more bandwith with a simple firmaware update that i ask me why ipv6 is not implemented yet? Thanks. Regards.
