Hello, Does anyone know of a way to access the Infrared port on a PC (to drive a Nokia Phone).
what I need is to find a way to map the Windows 2000 IR port to a cygwin device (e.g. /dev/ir0 ) then the modem code will work as is. Does anyone know how to do this? There are ominous statements at Microsoft that you can't map the IR port to a virtual COM port since Windows 2000 doesn't have this concept. Windows has added my nokia phone as a modem and I can query it from windows. Any suggestions? Thanks for any "Tales of Woe" that anyone can share with me ;-) Cheers, David
