When sms length greater than 160 char
Title: Message Hi, am trying to send an sms whose length is greater than 160 char. But, when I receive it, I found that Kannel truncate its length to 160 chars, and the rest has been ignored. That is I lost the remaining part. What should I do in order to receive the remaining sms. thanks in advance -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Nicolas, Im using Kannel and mbuni to provide access to WAP and MMS. It works fine for every phones Ive tested except for the nokia 6230. If I want to access to the internet, I have to configure it to connect directly on the HTTP proxy (squid) instead of Kannel. Ive configured Kannel to use this proxy though. Moreover, in the phone specs its written that it supports WAP 1.2.1 and 2.0, so I dont understand why it doesnt work with kannel. There's different parts to the WAP specs regarding the versioning. Namely there's the transport type (WAP or HTTP) and then the language constructs (ie. WML only or WML and XHTML and so on). A WAP 2.0 phone *does* have the option of supporting both transport stacks, but I doubt any do. If it connects to and works with your HTTP proxy, then it's an HTTP stack. You're going to see less and less new phones supporting the WAP stack anyway, so you might as well get working on the next gen configurations (ie. how you want to route the traffic, etc.). Jon
unreliable dlr + sms-service dlr
Hi, I have 2 problems, I have setup dlr, it works in 90% of the time :(. From time to time I get I/O and cannot connect to SMSC error in the console log (tty where I call bearerbox and smsbox variables) but the sms gets to the mobile phone with no problem. However the dlr is 16, so I cannot be sure wheather to resend the message or no? Another thing that I'we asked few times on this list I cannot get dlr on sms-service reply from my side.(no 1 no 16, nothing) I need delivery report on sms's triggered by user's sms request. Is it possible at all or I should count on my application for sending sms i.e. once I send sms service back should I consider it done? (this does not look like very acceptable to me) Otherwise the SW is running OK, I am using kannel 1.4.0 on suse 9.0 any advice on kannel/distro version combinations? thank you all
PPG usage??
Hello everyone! I need your help because reading from the docs and the users list I dont understand the usage of the PPG. Ive just found out about the test_si in /test folder if I run ./test_si f alex.dat pcontente.xml it converts my SI document into binary form and saves it into alex.dat file.
