Our operator provides us with a propietary http interface to query the status

I guess this is the only non native dlr way to do what you need. Aks your

currently we use WURFL to detect the supported file handset file formats
currently we use ringtones with imy formats, we need to send the ringtone to

we know also theuser handset.

let's suppose user handset is

wurfl tell us

midi_monophonic : true

midi_polyphonic : true

can we transcode the the imy ringtone using ringtone tool and send it via
kannel to make the user able to sing the melody?
If we have also the midi file can we send it via kannel directly ? ( i think
no)
can we transcode in ems to and send the file to all type of handsets?
If i'm forced to use a binary conversion of the source file which is the format
shoudl I use?

Hi Mauro,
Kannel doesn't do any conversions.
You can send imy files as EMS, you'll need to do some conversions though.

You'll need a script that can convert those imy content to a HEX string and
send it with the udh of the message caculated and setup. Set

2008-11-19 Thread Alejandro Guerrieri
Mauro,

No, to send the midi file you usually send a wap-push pointing to the file
location or to a file application that does the delivery (and probably bills
the client, etc.). The client follows the link and downloads the midi to
his/her handset via wap/gprs/etc.

Thats right. I think those are propietary statuses? I'm not so familiar with
Kannel's DLR but I guess you will have to customize Kannel (whether via the
conf file or source code) to accept those statuses in its DLR.

thanks, but in my case my operator give the following error codes:

status DELIVRD err:027 absent subscriber (switch off mobile)

status:DELIVRD err:000 subscriber receive sms successfully

status :REJECTD err:028 subscriber has no enough credit

I search about these error codes, but I didn't find anything.

 Hafez

Our operator provides us with a propietary http interface to query the
status of mt-billed messages. We have a daemon polling the operator's server
for the status of each message and updating the database accordingly.

I guess this is the only non native dlr way to do what you need. Aks your
 operator about it.

Re: fakesmsc help

2008-11-19 Thread Nikos Balkanas
Hi all,

I was able to track down and correct the problem. Thanks, Raj for the help.
A problem with the configuration of smsbox. Cannot declare smsbox-id without
specifying bearerbox routing.

Now I am faced with another hurdle, which I would appreciate some input.
According to the manual, FAKE smsc supports DLRs. I need an example how to
configure that. Has anybody done it? Any help would be appreciated. The
reason I cannot use a real connection, is that I need to benchmark it by
sending several million requests. For obvious reasons I cannot use a real
interface. Ultimately i would like to hook ppg to the fake sms service and
get the (faked) DLRs from there. I include latest configuration file.

Thanx,

Nikos

P.S. Documentation was rather unclear. Where do I configure dlr-mask?

  Hi list,

I am trying to test DLRs using fake smsc (according to the manual it is
 supported). Unfortunately when I run:

 test/fakesmsc -H 212.205.200.120 -r 13005 -m 1 123 345 text relay from to
 nothing

The connection hangs forever and never returns. It opens succesfully but
doesn't do anything. I have a hunch that this is not supposed to happen.
Latest CVS, my configuration. Thanks in advance:

SQLBox Question

2008-11-19 Thread sangprabv
Hi,
I read some threads in the archives about how to reply MT using SQLBox.
AFAIK it can be done by injecting manually the MT to the send table.
What I confuse here is, what about if the MT is expected as the HTTP
Response. How does SQLBox treat and serve this? And does the sequence is
bearerbox-sqlbox-smsbox? Or bearerbox-smsbox-sqlbox? How to configure
the latter? TIA.
