Re: Recommendation request for modem for SMS with Kannel

Besides, note that under RHEL, you will need some manual works with kernel modules to have the modem recognized by RHEL and the device node created as /dev/ttyUSBX. Or have a look and give a try to http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/bb/viewtopic.php?t=295 From Fedora 10, it works fine. Thanks very much for your note. In fact I commonly use the Huawei E220 on my Debian laptops for net access. They work fine. I will now test it with Kannel. Thanks very much for your advice. I will consider the practicalities of setting up several modems. Re: status.xml reporting still online
Also, In the latest CVS, there were some additional changes to admin display. Basically at counters where dlr counters are separated from MO counters. The modifications were provided by Akejandro Guerreri. In addition, in the contrib folder there is a monitor script that will allow you to display the status page in a more friendly way. There you also have an updated?? xml parser you can use directly. Check the mailing list for details. Re: status.xml reporting still online
I'll recommend to use CVS. In terms of reliability its the same as official 1.4.3 As said in my mail. there were some modif in the status page after 1.4.3 In any case, check change log for changes and/or compatibility breakers since from 1.4.1 there were a lot of changes. hi is it true, that with the parameter: - sms-resend-freq - sms-resend-retry I can define, how long the messages should be queued on Kannel side? e.g.: SMSC is not reachable, 3 messages are queued on Kannel. set configuration sms-resend-freq = 10 and sms-resend-retry=2, so that kannel first try to send, but SMSC still not there, so wait 10 seconds than try again, still no response, than kannel deletes them from kannel. did I understand something wrong? thanks for any help beatrice -- GRATIS für alle GMX-Mitglieder: Die maxdome Movie-FLAT! Yes. Right a script to parse the bearerbox log as a stream and update your DB. Anytime an SMPP smsc doesn't repond to an enquire PDU, it will show as an error. Is this a bug or is it intentionally?? any idea? thanks beatrice Original-Nachricht Datum: Fri, 08 Jan 2010 14:20:47 +0100 Von: Beatrice Tamburrino beatrice.tamburr...@gmx.ch An: users@kannel.org Betreff: status.xml reporting still online Hello I'm having some problems with the status.xml file. I wrote a script, which gets the status.xml information, and checks if the gateway is online, also I have the different SMSC connection which I want to monitor. To test an interrupt to a (working ) emi connection I just unplugged the networkcable. when I refresh the status.xml, the connection is still online. Also there are two different behaviours: - with version 1.4.1 (which I am using on a customer) -- Jetzt kostenlos herunterladen: Internet Explorer 8 und Mozilla Firefox 3.5 - sicherer, schneller und einfacher! http://portal.gmx.net/de/go/chbrowser -- Preisknaller: GMX DSL Flatrate fr nur 16,99 Euro/mtl.! http://portal.gmx.net/de/go/dsl02 -- Jetzt kostenlos herunterladen: Internet Explorer 8 und Mozilla Firefox 3.5 - sicherer, schneller und einfacher! http://portal.gmx.net/de/go/chbrowser
Re: sqlbox and wap push
Thanks Alex .. as you would see below.. the problem is not with the UDH but with the msgtext. Unfortunately i dont have any idea on how to fix this. Please advise I have included here my BB log for both cases and the SQL statement i am using to insert into SQLBox. TIA.
