Yes that’s a variable you can set in your SMSC group. Look at the user guide .I believe the variable is dest-addr-ton similarly there is a source-addr-ton but I believe you wont need it. you might also need to configure the dest-addr-npi according to your SMPP provider’s requirements. Sometimes, operator sends this kind of string to hide the original phone number (to avoid spam etc). This is an alias avaliable for a limited time.
