Is it enough to do sudo dnf remove compiz? Or should I remove it in different way.___ users mailing list -- users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@lists.fedoraproject.org

I use mate without compiz. Marco is the default WM, so when I boot into mate, I just remove all of the compiz-related files. ___ users mailing list -- users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@lists.fedoraproject.org
Re: Fedora questions.
Thank you. It works, but I can’t add icons to the desktop for example icon to firefox. And now there are my experiences. Maybe they will be useful for other people. If it matters, I use xorg instead of wayland session, because wayland has problems with accessibility with orca screenreader. For example, if you try to add an user, the orca is silent on the user add screen. On xorg it works. I also tried to install mate. I created an other virtual machine in Vmware, (because I have windows alongside with fedora workstation),and installed debian mate and fedora mate for comparison. The marco window manager on debian mate (by default) was more accessible than compiz On fedora mate. The compiz wasn’t accessible. I couldn’t switch to marco on fedora mate. Nice day for all. Fedora questions.
Hello all, I'm testing fedora on virtual machine in vmware. I have some questions. 1. How to get desktop icons for gnome? 2. If it's inpossible, how to get mate-desktop environment with desktop icons, but without compiz manager, because of problems with orca screenreader. 3. Is it usable by beginners? 4. How to install drivers and games on wine? 5. What antivirus do you recommend? 6. How to automatically update fedora? Thank you all? ___ users mailing list -- users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@lists.fedoraproject.org
