If the Mac is able to run containers, it should be possible to run a Fedora container on the Mac, with firefox started there from your machine with "ssh -X container firefox". Not simple but the same thing works on a smartphone, it should on a Mac too. As you heard on the CentOS list, it’s unlikely to work with MacOS as the remote side, since it doesn’t use X11 for apps like Firefox.
