It seems however you are running Geany is telling it you are not in an Italian locale so the keyboard layout is wrong. Ok, fixed the keyboard layout problem but . I didn't change any keyboard setting. Just closed Geany and opened it again after playing with locale language (and setting again to Italian) !? Anyway, do you have any suggestion on rectangular selection problem ? From documentation it specified that shit+alt must be used and I didn't find a setting for changing it. Anyhow I have always used just Alt button (like in Notepad++) till this morning, before upgrading. [Geany-Users] Keyboard problems after upgrading to 1.34
Hi, I just upgraded to Geany 1.34. I have two problems (before I never had any). 1) Till now I've always used just Alt button for rectangular selection. Now I have to press both Ctrl+Alt buttons to use it. I'd like to use just Alt (especially when I don't have a mouse) 2) Some keys are now messed up. Example Before to get / character I had to press shift+7 Now, by pressing shift+7 I get & character. In order to get a / I have to press - All other applications (e.g. Notepad++) work ok Any idea ? Oops. The modifier used to be different on Windows and non-Windows platforms. It used to be done by the editing component we use, but a recent change altered the default value, and long story short, we didn't properly fix this. There's unfortunately currently no user setting to change this. I'll propose a fix later, but I don't have a simple solution you could apply easily without rebuilding Geany [1].
