Re: [one-users] Fw: Deploying PHP web application in OpenNebula

2013-02-11 Thread Rolandas Naujikas

Hi,

We are using puppet for deploying services in opennebula VM.
We need only put into context of VM template

FILES="http://grid5.mif.vu.lt/mif/puppet/init.sh";

and

PUPPET_PRIVATE_KEY="..."

and by creating VM in opennebula services configures itself automaticly
on first launch.

Regards, Rolandas Naujikas

P.S. FILES parameter works only for users in oneadmin group.

I have already requested about this for *users@lists.opennebula.org*,

If you set :auth: occi, the authentication method will compare the

Yes, I shown wrong configuration file content from our system. Really we
are using ":auth: opennebula" (in occi-server.conf) and it works in
opennebula self service portal with LDAP authentication in our
environment (with the patch in login.js).

That is because OCCI transfers SHA1 hashed password to occi-server and it
could not do LDAP bind with it (exept if your LDAP contains clear text
passwords or SHA1 hash). With this patch clear password is transported to
occi-server and it could do LDAP bind against LDAP users.

[one-users] (no subject)

2013-02-11 Thread Gonzalo Alvarez
Hi,

We are running a project with OpenNebula (we are using the sandbox
appliance) and VMWare (ESXi 5.0) and so far we didn't have much success.
These are the issues faced so far.

Issue 1: Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that I can not
use OpenNebula with the free license of ESXi. Whenever I do it, I get the
following error:

pre: Error executing: /usr/bin/vicfg-vswitch --username=root
--password=xx --server=192.168.99.59 --add-pg one-pg-0 vSwitch0 *err:
fault.RestrictedVersion.summary*
*
*
* *So, when I switch to 'Evaluation version' everything works as
expected. Is it that supposed to be that way? Is there any other way to use
OpenNebula with the free license of the ESXi?

Issue 2: I would like to change the name of the port group that is
supposed to be created. Right now it is 'one-pg-0' as you can see on the
command above. Can that be changed?

Issue 3: Here we are really stuck. After switching to the 'Evaluation
License' and with everything properly configured (as far as I can say),
when trying to launch an instance we get the following error:

Mon Feb 11 18:21:32 2013 [VMM][I]: Command execution fail:

operation: deploy.

But if I connect to the opennebula machine with the oneadmin user and
I try to execute the virsh connection command, it works properly. Am I
missing something here?

Thanks a lot.

Gonzalo.
