If the VM still in pending state, you select the VM and choose the “Deploy”
from the menu and define the server to deploy into.

Hi Rhesa,

This is not supported for historical reasons. New versions of qemu seems to
support this feature, nex version of OpenNebula should include this, see:

Re: [one-users] Live migration fail

2014-10-03 Thread Campbell, Bill
Amier,
Yes, each KVM node will need to be able to authenticate with each other
directly, so you'll need to do one of the following:

* Create a key on each node and ssh-copy-id to each kvm node
* Use the same key/pair that is used to communicate from OpenNebula to the
nodes between nodes (i.e. copy the /var/lib/one/.ssh directory to each node).

We use the second one and it works well, but either should work.

[one-users] DHCP Issues

2014-10-03 Thread Brendan Rose

Hey everyone,

I have finally been able to set up and install my own VM and have
it work. The problem I'm running into now is that while Sunstone says
the guest OS has the right IP (192.168.1.150) when I run ifconfig it
shows up as 192.168.30.15. On top of that I have several systems in my
local network also being given these addresses. I'm also unable to ping
the guest OS or the devices with the different IP addresses.

I haven't been able to find any mention of OpenNebula coming with a
DHCP server that should try to manage the physical network but it seems
like it's trying.

I'm running it on a Ubuntu 14.04 x64 fresh install with OpenNebula
4.8. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: [one-users] Can't start VM

2014-10-03 Thread Brendan Rose
I as finally able to get this working. It looks like the image I was
downloading from the marketplace didn't like my system or I was
configuring it wrong.

Following this guide, and having to tweak things a little bit, I was
finally able to get my own ISO uploaded and install a working copy of
Ubuntu as a guest OS.

Can you show the output of

oneimage show

for the image you are using?

The error you are getting seems to be saying that the image you are trying to
copy
from the image datastore to the system datastore is somehow a directory rather
than a file.
Verify that /var/lib/one/datastores/1/22fb6766c2abcd61d1b1540796bd9705
is really a file.

Also give us the output of onedatastore show 0
and onedatastore show 1.

But I think it's a problem somehow with the way you declared your image.

Hey!

I've tried several times with both OpenNebula 4.6 and 4.8 on Ubuntu

Is it possible to build an ACL that gives a group of users the ability to

Thanks
