Thanks a lot for that informative answer. Nice you're developing on PHP 7.2
since early RCs! Looking forward for Roundcube 1.3.4 and will switch then
rather soon to PHP 7.2 in production as I want to take advantage of built-in
Sodium for some custom SSO implementation.

Cheers,

What a great answer! Because
http://php.net/manual/en/migration72.deprecated.php (e.g. each() function
deprecation) and http://php.net/manual/en/migration72.incompatible.php (e.g.
E_WARNING on count()) - little things that even projects with an almost perfect
code base stumble upon. The world is not perfect! Remember my wise words.

[RCU] PHP 7.2 support

2017-12-06 Thread Philip Iezzi
Hi there,

How does PHP 7.2 support come along? Can Roundcube 1.3.3 already be used in
production on PHP 7.2.
So far, on my PHP 7.2.0 test instances, I didn't find a single glitch.

Cheers, Philip

Re: [RCU] Roundcube Webmail 1.3.0 released

2017-06-29 Thread Philip Iezzi
yes, you can. Look at
https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/commit/6886a4de3f32f4a0b195618f034af0d1dcaf
 and you'll find the new config option that replaces the previous
$config['preview_pane']:

// Interface layout. Default: 'widescreen'.
// 'widescreen' - three columns
// 'desktop' - two columns, preview on bottom
// 'list' - two columns, no preview
$config['layout'] = 'desktop';

Works perfect. https://webmail.onlime.ch is running on RC 1.3.0 now for 2 days
with no single customer complaint. Thx Thomas & Roundcube team for this great
release!

Cheers, Philip

Re: [RCU] [RCD] The excitement continues

2015-07-10 Thread Philip Iezzi
Hi Thomas

We've missed the Roundcube Next base goal of $80,000 but would like to
contribute now. How to back on Indiegogo on an ended campain? Simply cannot
find any link - I must be blind.

Best regards,
Philip / Onlime Webhosting

 Dear subscribers

 We're just a couple of days away from finishing our Roundcube Next
 crowd funding and the good news is: we already reached our base goal!

 That means Roundcube Next will get started and we can refactor the
 core of Roundcube and get basic email and contacts functionality in
 place. But that's just the start. If we can push the funding higher,
 then we can schedule more of the Roundcube Next goals as seen in the
 graphic on the campaign page. Without that extra support, it will
 simply take us longer to get there.

 Visit https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/roundcube-next--2#/story and
 get involved if you haven't already.

 Also on the campaign page: some sneak peeks on the visual concepts
 we've been working on in the past few weeks. The screens are far from
 being final or complete but you'll the the idea what the new webmail
 may look like on desktops and mobiles.

 So there's still time for you to make a difference. Back the campaign
 today and help us push even further!

 Best,
 Thomas and the Roundcube Team

 Is the php-5.6 on windows running with suhosin?

 Best regards
 Thomas Spuhler

We're running Roundcube 1.0.4 on Debian Wheezy Apache 2.2.22, PHP 5.6.4,
Suhosin v0.9.37.1 - without any issues!
When we started with Roundcube (quite some years ago...) we had to disable
suhosin.session.encrypt:
suhosin.session.encrypt = Off
This is probably still required in RC 1.0.x, but I'm unsure about it.
We have never encountered any ASCII-NUL chars not allowed Suhosin ALERTs with
Roundcube.
Good luck!
