Shrug... Sorry, I don't know how that relates to Lou's question, or my
response.

In /File /Save As, drop the file type selector to MS Word 97/2000/XP. Make sure
"automatic file name extension" is checked. Ignore the other two MS Word
options - they are now little used formats.

Info for Doc

2014-06-16 Thread Lou Spee
Hello,

I have your Open Office, and I really like to use it, however I started to
write Kindle books for which I need to use MicroSoft Word. My question to
you is of course, could I just copy the text of my book and paste it in a
new MicroSoft Word text document without getting any complications and
weirdness with the text?

Please advise me.

Thank you.

With best regards,

Lou Spee

2 issues (OSX)

2014-06-16 Thread Julian Thomas
1. When I start OO I see a popup window telling me that updates for extensions
are available - click here, but just as I click there, the popup vanishes and
nothing happens.

2. Put together a 5 slide presentation, went to print it as a handout, and no
matter what template I pick, nothing shows up. If I select print, it brings up
the first slide as a preview. How do I get the handout view?
