Re: documents
Hi Jody. This is an OpenOffice mailing list where users volunteer to help each other. As your question was related to your mailing program I can't see what this has to do with OpenOffice. Please send all OpenOffice questions to users@openoffice.apache.org where you can reach many volunteers as my knowledge is very narrow. RE: OpenOffice Writer
In the top menu of OpenOffice Writer, select the View menu, then select Toolbars and on the list of Toolbars, click Drawing. This should provide some of what you are looking for? Also, at the right margin there is a strip with four symbols. The one that looks like a stack of little cubes will pop out a "Properties" list for controlling some features of text. The one that looks like a little stack of pictures will open a gallergy of interesting symbols and images for you to use. Some of these are also obtained using little icons in the two rows across the top and beneath the row of menu names. Finally, on the top menu again, click Help (don't use the F1 key), and then click the Open Office Help entry in the list that shows up. This will take you to an extensive Help library that you can search for features you are looking for, using the Index tab. The Content tab lists some areas you might want to explore. Does this help you find what you are looking for? - Dennis -Original Message- From: Bridget Letcher [mailto:btvs1...@yahoo.com.INVALID] Sent: Monday, December 15, 2014 16:15 To: users@openoffice.apache.org Subject: OpenOffice Writer I just got an update for openoffice, which I did update, but... I could also choose colors as well. I don't know if these options have a name or not (I don't recall seeing anything). These options ran along the bottom left of the page. In the View menu under Toolbars there's an item called Drawing that you can turn on. Is that what you're looking for?
