Urmas;

Stop spreading your FUD. Apache OpenOffice is still actively developed.

Go to the download page again and on the right side of the page you find
a link to System Requirements there you find the answer.

The OP removed screen capture shows the 4.1.4 installation dialog asking
to close:

  * Cent Browser
  * Visual Studio Code

The installation is not accessing these programs, it is asking for them
to be closed during installation, which suggests that they are holding
open resources on your computer that it needs to properly complete the
installation.

Provided you started the installation program download from:
http://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html there is no security
issue. If you wish to confirm you have downloaded a clean copy of the
software you can test the checksums here:
https://www.openoffice.org/download/checksums.html

In your browser, check the following:
* Are scripts allowed?
* Are the security certificates acceptable?
* Is handing off to other domains allowed?

IF the answer to any of those is "no", then the issue is with your
browser configuration.

The link

https://templates.openoffice.org/en/search?query=letter+basi
c+template_by=field_template_rating_average_rating_order=ASC

seem to be working fine. I just tried it and the example templates. If you
click the examples like

"https://templates.openoffice.org/en/template/basic-sample-cover-letter;,

they take you to "sourceforge.net" page/link (https://sourceforge.net/
projects/aoo-templates/files/13417/basic_sample_cover_letter.ott/download)
whereby your download will begin from a mirror website.

Perhaps you can try again?
