Chuck Spalding, I'm a Windows and Linux user. Should the background of the margin area as well as the area where the text is, change? Could someone cover how to do that? Re: Change of background color
You can change the background color at OpenOffice > Preferences > OpenOffice (group) > Appearance (That's the sequence on a Mac. Windows might be different.) For the "Document background" selection, choose Automatic (above Black in the list). Steven, Typing into a cell, I was modifying an old document. I didn't note wether it was text or figures, it happened quite a few times over the last two days so I am sure it was probably both , it could have been either. Re: Apple OS Catalina
Jane, Yes, it is compatible. How are you trying to open your files? Are you starting OpenOffice and then find the Recent File list doesn’t contain the file(s) you wish to open? If you click on the file folder icon next to Open... on OpenOffice StartUp menu can you find the file(s) and then open them? When you click on the Documents icon on the Dashboard or in the drop down menu under Go in the Finder you can’t find the file(s) you’re looking for? If you do locate the file can you open them by double clicking the file icon?
