Trouble with selecting text

2023-03-08 Thread Loring Dales
I’m a long-time Open Office user who just bought a new iMac desktop computer.
When I work with an Open Office word document (newly created one or old one in
my files), I cannot highlight (i.e., select) passage in that document by
left-clicking/pressing on the mouse and at the same time moving the mouse over
that passage I’m trying to select.

How can perform this highlighting/ selection process now?

Thank you. - Loring Dales

Rechtschreibprüfung OpenOffice Calculator

2023-03-08 Thread Martin Oehl

Hallo liebe Mitglieder,

Microsoft recently introduced "Clipboard History" in Windows 11.

Can you please try to disable it and look if things get better?

See:

Apple took care of that and allows to run the Intel version of
OpenOffice even on Apple M1/2 processors.

Simply download and install it as usual:

Please see the Release Notes regarding "Gatekeeper" on macOS:

DElay in der Anwendung und ewiges Wiederherstellen

2023-03-08 Thread Ralf

Hi and Hallo,

for weeks now I have the problem that whenever I start OO, it begins
with two files, the system wants to restore. One of them has been erased
already for a long time - the other one is perfectly fine and saved.
So everytime I use OO, the procedure starts PLUS inside the application,
there is a delay between klick and action.

I hoped that the update to .14 would solve the problem. But it did not.

I am using LibreOffice right now, although I was very fine with OO.
So I hope that you have an idea and a solution - otherwise I would have
to erase OO on my computer. I did not find helping clues on the internet.

Yours
Ralf

Re: Fwd: Printing on an envelope

2023-03-08 Thread Alan Pearce
I use  labels when I need a printed address on an envelope. It's easier to put
a A4 sheet  of  labels on  top of  the A4  tray of paper.than messig around
fitting an envelope in the printer..

I rarely print envelopes, but on my printer, I usually just print landscape and
manually feed an envelope. I do use the mechanism to feed an envelope. The
problem with that, however, is that some feed the envelope in the middle and
some on the right or left side. So I expect this to take some experimentation.
What I did, was to feed a regular sheet of paper and then I checked to see
where it printed with respect to the envelope so that I could refine margins
(and similar). So now I can print individual envelopes when I want to. I just
pull up my "template" and off I go.Not much help perhaps, but it is how I
solved it for my infrequent use.On Tuesday, March 07, 2023 17:39 EST, Shari

you let us know what you are trying to do exactly? Does you printerallow you
to print directly on to the envelope? Have you print directlyto an envelope
with another program? If you printer will print to an envelope directly, you
should just needto change the paper size in OpenOffice. Some printers are able
to printon envelopes some are not.Shari> From: Paul
