Can't edit Base macro
Running OO 4.1.15 on a Windows 11 system. When trying to edit a macro in Base, OO terminates and goes through a recovery process for the opened dbase. The dbase and macro remain functional after recovery but I cannot make the changes I want to make. Adding data to Base tables
Some time ago I built a Base database that uses two tables. It has worked very well all these years. Now I want to build another database in an entirely different project using three spreadsheets that I want to incorporate in the db. I can't figure out how to transfer data from the spreadsheets to the tables. Copy and paste doesn't work. I'm sure I somehow was able to move data from a spreadsheet to a table in the old db but have forgotten how I did it. I really don't want to have to retype all the data if possible. Any help will be appreciated. Dick Hoffman - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org
Problem with a docx file
When I try to open the attached file using AOO 4.0.1 on my Windows XP-SP3 system I get the following from AOO: Open Office Document Recovery Due to an unexpected error, OpenOffice crashed. All the files you were working on will now be saved. The next time OpenOffice is launched, your files will be recovered automatically. The following files will be recovered: (blank - no files are listed) When I click on OK AOO opens again but takes no action regarding the file in question. A .~lock file is left in my Temp directory. When I upload the .docx file to the free file conversion site, http://www.zamzar.com/, and have it convert the file to .doc, AOO has no problem opening the resulting doc file. The original file may have been created on a Mac system, for what that is worth. AOO can't open .xlsx spreadsheet at Cornell site
I downloaded a fairly large spreadsheet from this location http://www.birds.cornell.edu/clementschecklist/download/ but when I try to open it with AOO the progress line shows about a quarter of it being loaded and then AOO stalls and I have to use the Task Manager to cancel soffice. This is using AOO 4.0 on a Windows XP Pro/SP3 system. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong will be appreciated.
