Re: sending resume using open office
If you are sending out resumes, they need to be in .doc format or .pdf format. You can save the document to both of those formats from within OpenOffice. For .pdf format, there is an icon in the standard toolbar just above your document. Click on that to create the .pdf file. For .doc format, choose FILE from the menu, then SAVE AS. Then browse the FILE FORMAT dropdown to find the .doc format (MS Word 1997-2003). -- Tim === I know the plans I have for you: Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; Plans to give you hope and a future. --- God (Jeremiah 29:11) On 1/8/2014 10:45 PM, jcish...@suddenlink.net wrote: To whom it may concern, My name is John, I have been using open office for some time now and fine it as good or better than windows office. Re: email program
Mozilla Thunderbird is an excellent email client that runs on Windows and Linux. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/?icn=tabz The Mozilla Lightning add-on gives Thunderbird calendar capabilities as well. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/projects/calendar/ These are 32-bit programs, but I use them on Windows 7 (64-bit). -- Tim === I know the plans I have for you: Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; Plans to give you hope and a future. --- God (Jeremiah 29:11) On 1/4/2014 2:10 PM, Wade Smart wrote: -- Registered Linux User: #480675 Registered Linux Machine: #408606 Linux since June 2005 On Sat, Jan 4, 2014 at 1:08 PM, John Meyer johnme...@pueblocomputing.com wrote: On 1/4/2014 12:07 PM, Keith and Leisa Ferguson wrote: I just found out about open office.
