2016-09-06 Thread Maurice Howe
Thanks, Andrea. You surely know how dull-witted we Americans are, so...

Again, I want to applaud the work you guys & gals do to keep AOO humming.
It's a great product (although not a "product" in the usual sense). Brian
Barker is a "standout", as are Dennis and many others. My Thanks!

I've done lots of volunteer work over the years -- Rotary International
(Youth Exchange chair for a 7-county area in upstate New York), long-time
president and treasurer of a Rotary Club, officer and councilor for Mended
hearts (a heart patient support group), Meals on Wheels, a local Historical
Society, local Neighborhood Watch leader, and others.

*More* people should volunteer. True -- Mended Hearts is a bit different
from AOO but both are better off thanks to our efforts & yours, eh?

No problem at all. I don't see why one should be offended be a simple
and common misunderstanding, but for sure I'm not offended.

Apologies. Hope he wasn't offended. Every language has its quirks

Atta girl!
Few things are perfect, but AOO is mighty good, thanks to you and all the
other volunteers.

This (Apache letting OpenOffice die) is not going to happen soon, and
maybe it is never going to happen. We've already elaborated on how an
unfortunate procedural message has been badly misunderstood, but new
releases continue to be in the plans.

I hope that the active OOA-developers and Apache will give rights of the
OpenOffice-brand to TDF before closing the door forever and let OO die.

TDF has active delevopers and doing well process with LibreOffice, which
is justed named LO because Oracle didnt give the rights on the name
OpenOffice to them.

Apache before you let OpenOffice die, please correct the mistake
oracle has done.

Greetings,

K.H.
