Re: Flipping Text
" Hello… I do wood projects that require I flip text so it can be placed on wood with urethane, then removed and the text is readable as if typed on it." I'm interested in doing the same thing. It shouldn't take hours or lots of procedures to print something out so that it can be read through glass, for instance. On Sat, Oct 7, 2023 at 11:24 AM Regina Henschel wrote: > Hi John, > > John J. I know two ways to get mirror writing: (a) Write the text in a text box. Then convert it "To Curve", "To Polygon" or "To Contour". That is in the context menu of the text box. Which looks better depends on the font. Now it is no longer a text, but you can flip it vertically, again in context menu. (b) Insert a Fontwork shape "Favorite 1" from the Fontwork Gallery. Double-click it to alter the text to your needs. In edit mode you can alter the used font. Leave edit mode. Set shape fill to Black. Resize the shape to good looking proportions. Now you can flip it vertically. This way the text remains editable, but you need to adjust the size of the shape. Flipping Text
Hello… I do wood projects that require I flip text so it can be placed on wood with urethane, then removed and the text is readable as if typed on it. When I select Flip on my menu the options are whited out. Have had to have a friend with Microsoft Office to do it for me. I used this on OOffice by me a few years ago and now it’s gone. The convoluted way suggested on the Support group is nuts. What’s the deal or do I have to revert to MS? Thanks. john -- *jjtan...@gmail.com *
