Hallo,

Exel-Demo runs without the problems I have with OO. Insofar my PC cannot 
be the cause for the problem. And You did not write that your OO on your 
PC runs without the problem i have: that is: very very slowly input.


Look down in this E-Mail: Is all that normal?

But I can live with this problem in the little work I do with OO.

issues. In the case of Apache OpenOffice (also LibreOffice) this is NOT
true, because your "User Profile" (your personal settings) is not
removed and is found and used by any reinstall of the software.


The same Problem: when I do keyboard  input "1" than down key than 1 and
so forth i see no input. the cursor goes very slowly through the fields
where nothing is to see. after some seconds the number 1 appears in the
fields slowly one after another!.

In Writer i have not such problems. Only in calc in OO.

Otherwise I can work with the program  Calc without other problems.

But i have to do input of many many numbers and this is with this
OO-Problem impossible to do because i have no control over my inputs then.

the issue is being generated by your system configuration. Try renaming

All spreadsheets are innocent, it are the users who are guilty.

Now you make me angry, because you have the option to configure OpenOffice so 
that it makes always backups and to create recovery files each 5  or 10 minutes.
So normally you should loose no more than say 10 minutes of work.

something new, which makes me angry:

program while i did a fully normal input . The restitution routine 
appears after new starting but some input is no more there. I did not 
save the sheet ever.

I followd all suggestions in 3 E-Mails. Nothing helps. Maybee my problem 
is not a problem, because my manner of input will seldom be used. I 
worked with Spreadsheet (OO und Libre Office) since years and had no 
problems like this one. But I used my manner of input never before.


In short: All rests of old installations deleted. New download, new 
installation of OO. New user profile. Empty spreadsheet. No other open 
program on the PC. Fast input of "1" and "down" or "enter": 15 cells are 
empty, then very slowly appears "1" in the column one after another, slowly.


Did You try this on Your PC?

Most times when it happens to me is when I have a complex Spreadsheet 
with many formulas.
The solution is to to switch off the Auto Calculate option under: 
Tools -> Cell Contents and deselect AutoCalculate
You could also look under Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice Calc -> 
Calculate and check Iterative references settings.




But i have to do input of many many numbers and this is with this 
OO-Problem impossible to do because i have no control over my inputs 
then.
