Re: Open office won't work

2022-05-28 Thread Johnson Casket
I stumbled across a solution by pure luck. When I would double click on the
OpenOffice app icon, it would throw this error message. I right clicked and
then clicked “open” and it worked fine. I closed out and doubled clicked the
icon and then it worked that way too. Thanks for the responses, this will be
helpful with other software.

Open office won't work

2022-05-27 Thread Rick Johnson
Hi,
I noticed I had an update reminder for OpenOffice on my MAC (Monterey 12.4) I
have always used OpenOffice with no issues. I did the update and now it won’t
open because it says it can’t be verified to be free of malware. Can someone
please help?

Thanks,
Rick Johnson

Re: Open office won't work on Apple update

You have to download and install the Open Office 64-bit version (the new Mac OS
won’t let you use 32-bit programs - that is why you have the circle with the
slash).

Download the installation software (https://www.openoffice.org/download/) and
just make sure the box above “Download full installation” say OS X (version
>-10.7) (DMG) and do the download and then open the file you downloaded.  (what
I just told you is the version you see if you used a browser on a Mac).
