[users] questionable email

2011-02-18 Thread Brewster Gillett
My traffic from this group appears to have ceased. Concurrent with
this, I received today an email from something called
users-h...@openoffice.org. with the subject line ezmim warning.
Given the amount of phishing and such going on, I am reluctant
to even open the message. This much I know; my email address
has not changed. I have not changed ISPs nor DNS administration.

So why would my feed suddenly stop?

And is this message a legitimate one from Open Office?

Please reply directly to my email address.

Thanks,

Brewster

That's ezmlm not 'ezmim'. It's probably a message telling you that the
list server has been receiving bounces from you (well, most likely your
mail service provider). Perfectly safe to open and read.

The situation is normally self rectifying. The worst that can happen is
you get unsubscribed from the list.

[users] Calc- reference a bunch cells into 1 cell?

2011-02-18 Thread .

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

My spreadsheet has a tiny monthly calendar on it that has 1 cell for
each day. So, it has 7 columns across and 8 rows down. When you select
the cells it has a range like this- A1:G8

I want to put the contents of cells A1 to G8 into 1 cell on different
sheet in the same file.

It can be done by;

- - Selecting and Copying A1:G8

- - Pasting it into Writer (at this point it appears like a graphic that
you can rescale)

- - Copying it from Writer and pasting it into the single cell using
Paste Special- GDI metafile

That works well but there's got to be an easier way.

Any ideas?

I am just curios; why would you want to do something like that? I would
guess (and yes, it's only a guess, nothing more) that nobody ever wanted
to do that before, so there is no special feature for it. Again, only a
guess…

One possible solution would be to write a macro for it.

I need someone to point me to a process or tutorial for installing a julian

This calendar needs to be able to intergrate with ALL the apps in my current

I am currently running OpenOffice 3.3.0 on MS-Windows XP SP3.

Let me know.

I look to hearing from you...

Erm. Sorry, but where you live do months have 56 days?

The month occupies 1 row
The days of the week occupy 1 row, each day is in an individual column
There's a 1 row space between the days of the week and the first day
numbers of the week.

Not all months have the same number of weeks so an extra row has to be
added.

Please, let me know if you know how to solve the problem.
