[Users] live storage migration - when is this being targeted?
From what I can understand ovirt 3.4.0 - or a least the hypervisor part based on el6 - cannot do live storage migration due to an older qemu-kvm package. I assume this is a related bug? https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1009100 From what I can infer from this there is a related issue with vdsm that needs handling as well? From a feature parity perspective against Vmware Vcenter (Enterprise plus) this is a very important feature. I can think of a number of Vmware shops that wouldn't look an a competing hypervisor management platform without this feature working. I think this would be a key milestone for ovirt to get to. I downloaded the below mentioned setup file on windows system. But still windows users (Windows 7 Home/Professional) are unable to access the VMs from the users portal. The below setup file doesn't install virt viewer which is require to open the console. Check your firewall settings. I have found that even though you tell the install script to leave the firewall alone it still configures it for you. You might want try stopping your firewall temporarily. Hello: Is it possible to clone a vm with thin provisioned disks to another vm with thin provisioned disks too? Currently when I clone a VM from a snapshot, although I choose thin provision in resource allocation-Storage Allocation from the Clone VM from Snapshot dialog, the VM is created with preallocated disk(s) Is this the default or there is a problem with my engine/nodes installation? Hi Guys I was wondering wether anybody has the guest agent already working on debian guests. In m previous install I had a working setup but currently I only see Ubuntu packages. When using these ubuntu packages I really run quite fast into trouble due to the highly integrated nature of upstart in ubuntu. Has anybody got a suggestion for a debian package? The group within repository[1] is invalid. Sandro, kiril, please modify ovirt-ovirt-enigne and check that all packages are OK. I also do not know what this file[2] is at that location. Alastair, all the issues are caused by this, as product is not upgraded to 3.4, so setup package of 3.4 is trying to setup 3.3 product. Thank you for the report!
