qemu-to-gluster communication goes on top the IP that you mount.
However, without hacks, inter-gluster communication uses FQDN of hosts,
which most commonly resolves to the management network.

From the output of your gluster volume info , it looks like you have
used IP address (43.25...) to peer probe the hosts? If you add the host
from oVirt, for gluster to be able to use separate network for
glusterd-glusterd communication, you will need to use FQDN while adding
the host, and workaround as mentioned in

Re: [ovirt-users] ovirt node iso?

2014-08-01 Thread Fabian Deutsch
Hey Jaco,

- Original Message -
Cheers - I'll look for it give it a go.

Could I ask if an install-to-host option is available?
Also that the memtest image integrity tests are available at boot.

Yep - The installation is the default option.

I've also noted that there are not corresponding MD5 sums of images
available on sites, so it's tricky to validate/verify the integrity of
 images downloaded before flashing.

The iso is checking itself when you boot it up. But yes, let me attach the
md5sums of upcoming ovirt-node-iso builds.

- fabian

 Please advise

 Kind regards

2014-08-01 Thread Dafna Ron
the host ip should also be in the certificates created when we install
it and in the db.

re-installing the host would be easier and quicker.

Is there a way for automated processes outside of Ovirt to use

Re: [ovirt-users] Kernel panic for live images

2014-08-01 Thread Jaco

update:
It seems that there's a bug in the implementation of UNetBootIn and/or
liveusb-creator that's causing identical kernel panics to what I'm
experiencing.

http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=6865#c20214

(I'm in the process of migrating off Ubuntu/Debian/.deb for my
desktop/infrastructure to RPM's - oVirt being a crucial 1st step)
Initially I suspected fault RAM (since it;s the only aspect of kernel
panics I can actually do something about without chucking out my whole
box), but new RAM a new host makes no difference.

The resolution seems to be to do it by hand - dd.

Will try this report back.
