[ovirt-users] USB redirect
Hello everybody, I have an oVirt 3.4 deployment and I have some Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bits guests. I can't redirect USB from a Windows 7 client. I'm using remote - viewer as console. Also I have observed something wrong in my administration portal. The oVirt documentation says that I have to select Native USB mode in console properties in VM configuration but after select this mode, it doesn't remain. If I check this value in console configuration again I can see disabled, native mode value have been changed. Is there someone have had this problem?, and how I can solve it?, is it necessary to install in Windows clients us clerk software? Many thanks in advanced. [ovirt-users] phantom snapshot blocking other operations
I attempted to make a live snapshot of a Windows VM last night, and got the message Failed to create live snapshot name for VM vm. VM restart is recommended. So, I then shut the VM down normally, and attempted to remove the snapshot. I got an error that the snapshot could not be removed because it was still in progress. Looking underneath the covers at the 'images' directory for this VM on the storage filesystem, I don't see any evidence of a snapshot in progress (the *_MERGE* files). The Snapshots tab for the VM does not show any snapshots (other than the 'Active VM' entry). I can't boot the VM however. When attempting to detach the disk and mount it on another Windows VM for inspection, I receive the message Cannot detach virtual disk. The disk is already configured in a snapshot. In order to detach it, remove the disk's snapshots. [ovirt-users] oVirt 3.5: Issue with FC Storage on EL7 host
Just a heads up I ran into an issue with adding a Fibre Channel storage domain on a CentOS 7 host. vdsm-4.16.7-1.gitdb83943.el7.x86_64 from oVirt 3.5 Release repo This version of vdsm still has the code in /usr/share/vdsm/storage/hba.py that performs issue_lip to rescan fibre channel HBAs. In my setup, the HBA paths are still recovering when 'dmsetup status' is run resulting in paths being offline and the LUNs being made unavailable to oVirt (UI shows exclamation mark).
