[ovirt-users] Most popular data storage connection
Does anyone have any information about what data domain storage connection is the most popular or most common? e.g. Gluster, iSCSI, NFS, etc. regards, John ___ Users mailing list Users@ovirt.org http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/listinfo/users
[ovirt-users] When I disconnected the cable, why vm can't migrate to the other host?
Dear friend: When I disconnected the cable, why vm can't migrate to the other host? I wait for several minutes, the VMs also still don't migrate to an other host! I have configured the power management and configured HA settings on vms! Maybe I have some error operations on somewhere? But if I restart the host by using the function of power management on host, the HA vms can migrate to an other host! Regards! [ovirt-users] IPV6 on vms
Hello; I have 2 ovirt nodes (v3.5.3, all on centos 7) with ovirt engine on separate machine, few vlans, shared storage etc. Installation is mostly standard. Virtual machines with ipv4 only works well without problems. But I have lot of issues with ipv6 on virtual machines. When I turn on virtual machine it works well (ipv4 and ipv6). But when I migrate vm than ipv6 simply stop works. Time to time works well but I don't known why My bridges are bonded interfaces with vlans. I search Internet for this issue and I found some information about issues with multicast on bridge (I try to set few parameters but without positive results ... ). Is there any solution for this IPV6 issues ? Greetings PS. Sorry for my broken English. this question is asked before, http://lists.ovirt.org/pipermail/users/2013-October/017067.html I'm not sure what's the status at present. Hey Patrick, currently we are not publishing official isos to resources.ovirt.org, instead please use the ISOs build in our CI: Out of curiosity, why is still not 'official' ? The final bit to do the publishing is just not yet in place. That final bit will take the ISOs from our CI and publish them, whenever an oVirt update is happening. But in the end, the isos from the CI and the officially released ones, will be from the same build process. - fabian ___ Users mailing list Users@ovirt.org http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [ovirt-users] Storage question: single node gluster?
Hey Alan. Using a single Gluster node will be like mounting any other storage, just without Gluster's advantages of backuping/distributing the FS. Also, you can attach nodes later on to your GlusterFS after you start using it. Hi There, This is not strictly oVirt, but is storage-related, so hopefully you will indulge me? Is there any detriment (performance or otherwise) in setting up a single-node glusterFS storage? I know glusterFS is designed to be used with multiple nodes, but I am wondering if there are any ill-effects in configuring current storage as a single-node cluster, with the idea of possibly adding future nodes in the future? [ovirt-users] Storage QOS
Has anyone been able to get storage qos to work with 3.5? I setup a policy with total 150 iops and total 100MBps but it's still unconstrained when i do a benchtest at ~1200iops and 800MBps, is there anything else i have to do except set the qos policy in data centers and assign the qos policy to the disk profile? ___ Users mailing list Users@ovirt.org http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [ovirt-users] change root password on hosts
Host should work fine in your engine as it is communicating via VDSM with engine. Re-deployment (reinstall) of host in engine will ask for credentials, but will be also available via SSH key fingerprint (no need for new root password). SSH fencing [1] is using the same fingerprint so it should work as well.
