2022-11-17 Thread Martin Perina
Hi Erkan,

It kas already been mentioned several times here in the list, oVirt 4.5.3
is not compatible with ansible-core-2.13+, you need to downgrade it to
ansible-core-2.12 and then proceed.

Regards,
Martin

Hello,

Upgrading oVirt hosts fails via the ovirt Compute -> Hosts -> Installation ->
Upgrade menu. I get the dependency error message below, when trying to upgrade
my oVirt hosts running on Rocky Linux 8.7. Its oVirt repo version is
centos-release-ovirt45-8.7-3.el8s.noarch. I have no chance to try it with RHEL

Hadn't finished

Instead the deployment creates vnet0 as the bridge port on virbr0

I can't see anywhere in the setup log that tries to create ovirtmgmt.

[ovirt-users] activate incremental backup on disk with ansible ovirt_disk module

2022-11-17 Thread Nathanaël Blanchet via Users
Hello,

I've struggled for hours with enabling incremental backup on disk level with
the ansible ovirt.ovirt.ovirt_disk module:

- name: modify incremental backup state
ovirt.ovirt.ovirt_disk:
auth: "{{ ovirt_auth }}"
id: "{{disk_id}}"
backup: "incremental"

But the disk never gets into an incremental state.

What's the matter?

PS: I know I can do the same with curl, but this is not what I want.

Thank you

[ovirt-users] multipath active-passive vs active-active

2022-11-17 Thread Enrico Becchetti

  Dear All,
I have been using ovirt for many years. I've got six servers , two HPE
MSA storage and a fiber channel network with two Brocade 8/20q.
oVirt has got two domain storage, one volume for each MSA. Now I have
only one MSA online. As you know multipath was configured

throught vdsm.
This is the output of the multipath command from one of the servers:

[root@infm-vm04 etc]# multipath -ll
3600c0ff0003c465b6510f85b0100 dm-2 HPE ,MSA 2050 SAN
size=14T features='1 queue_if_no_path' hwhandler='0' wp=rw

|-+- policy='service-time 0' prio=1 status=enabled

|-+- policy='service-time 0' prio=1 status=enabled

`-+- policy='service-time 0' prio=1 status=enabled
  `- 1:0:1:0 sde 8:64 active ready running

With this setup I think there is an active path and the other is in
standby state.

So, Id like to know if ovrt support  active-active mode and how can I make
this settings ?

/This is the current multipath.conf//
