[ovirt-users] unsynced after remove brick
Hello, Yesterday I had to remove the brick of my first server (HCI with 3 servers) for maintenance and recover hard disks. 3 servers with 4 disks per server in raid5. 1 brick per server i did : gluster volume remove-brick data replica 2 ovnode1s.telecom.lan:/gluster_bricks/datassd/datassd force After deleting the brick, I had 8 unsynced entries present and this morning I have 6. What should I do to resolve my unsynced ? Hi, I have two ovirt environments on the same network. 2 switches (10G switch for storage and 1G switch for data / management) 1) Prod environment: 3 oVirt 4.4.6 nodes (1 port 10G per node for storage gluster and 1 port 1G for data / management) 2) Lab environment 2 oVirt nodes 4.4.6 (1 Port 10G per node for storage gluster and 1 port 1G for data / management) The storage is on the same vlan and subnet for both environments. When I restart one of my lab servers, I have communication cuts/glitch on my production ovirt clusters. I even had server reboots. Do you know why ? I have tried exporting 4 VMs (2 centos and 2 Windows) to an nfs mount (export OVA) and importing from ova and I can't see all the files. [ovirt-users] I can't download console.rdp on VM Portal with Firefox
I am testing the lastest version of ovirt-engine 4.4.7.7-1 before updating. when I log into the VM portal and want to download the Remote Destop file (console.rdp) from a Windows VM, the file I receive is console.vv instead of console.rdp. So I have to rename the file to console.rdp. This problem is only with firefox. Edge and google chrome don't have this problem. [ovirt-users] Create gluster brick in oVirt engine, RAID-parameters
Hi, When creating a gluster brick in oVirt (host->Storage Devices->Create Brick), I have to fill in the parameters of the RAID volume the brick : RAID-type, number of disks and stripe size. My setup is DELL RAID Controler PERC H710 4 SSD disks raid5 Default stripe for Dell RAID-controller defaults is 64KB. I have no choice of a Raid 5 and if I choose Raid6, 4 or 3 disk, 64KB or 128KB Stripe. It does not work, (Failed to create brick data_ssd on host xxx of cluster Default). The only option that works is RAID type = None tried to find information about this, but no luck yet.. I tried ovirt engine 4.4.1.10 and lastest 4.4.7.6 Can I leave this to None ? Performance ? [ovirt-users] Disk (brick) failure on my stack
yesterday I had a disk failure on my stack of 3 Ovirt 4.4.1 node on each server I have 3 Bricks (engine, data, vmstore) brick data 4X600Gig raid0. /dev/gluster_vg_sdb/gluster_lv_data mount /gluster_bricks/data brick engine 2X1TB raid1 /dev/gluster_vg_sdc/gluster_lv_engine mount /gluster_bricks/engine brick vmstore 2X1TB raid1 /dev/gluster_vg_sdc/gluster_lv_vmstore mount /gluster_bricks/vmstore Everything was configured by the gui (hyperconverge and hosted-engine) It is the raid0 of the 2nd server who broke. all VMs were automatically moved to the other two servers, I haven't lost any data. the host2 is now in maintenance mode. I am going to buy 4 new SSD disks to replace the 4 disks of the defective raid0. When I'm going to erase the faulty raid0 and create the new raid with the new disks on the raid controler, how do I add in ovirt so that they resynchronize with the other bricks data? [ovirt-users] Hosted-engine fail and host reboot
I tried with a 1 baremetal host, 3 baremetals or virtual hosts and I still have
the same problem for installing the hosted-engine. Hyperconverge installs well.
I have tried with multiple version of ovirt ISO file 4.4.1 and 4.4.4 and 4.4.6.
when I run hosted-engine --deploy or with the cockpit, it creates a temporary
VM in the 192.168.222.x subnet and I am able to connect in ssh on this
temporary ip. When the script displays "TASK [ovirt.ovirt.hoted_engine_setup]:
Wait for the host to be up" the server reboots and I have nothing left.

[ovirt-users] Error Deployment New Hosted Engine on 4.4.1 node
I have a setup with 3 servers production environment with version 4.4.1 that works very well (gluster and hosted-engine) I prepared a lab with the same setup (with the same ISO) to test a update to (4.4.6) The deployment of the Hyperconverge works but when I want to do hosted-engine --deploy or in the cokpit, at some time the host displays this message and reboot and the engine is not installed. I tried with the latest ISO 4.4.6 (Fresh Install) and I have the same message. Is there a network change with version 8.3 of CentOS? Is there a way to know how to see who the vm of a pool assigned to?
