Anyone ? We really need to upgrade this old 4.3 installation. There are a lot of VMs and huge VM disks there, so we cannot just migrate them to a new fresh 4.4/4.5 environment using export/import or any other ways. All we can do is to upgrade existing 4.3 install step by step. Please help. What do you mean - run the engine-install ? Install required packages ? Yes they installed. I followed an upgrade documentation. This is a clean OS install with required packages. No engine-setup was run yet. BTW, you cannot run engine-cleanup after that failure. Hello! Is it possible to import a FC LUN copy/snapshot as additional storage domain to oVirt to copy large disk from it ? I believe that this LUN will have the same serial as existing one storage domain. How can we accomplish this ? Hello! Is there any way to "sync" current host/datastore/vm state after Engine restore from backup ? For example - let's say we have a backup made 3 hour later from current time and in this 3 hours we made some changes to vm (change config/power state/take snapshots for example) or hosts (enter maintenace mode, network changes and so on). If we restore backup we did not see those changes because all of the info is stored in the engine database. So the question - is there any way to get "synced" with current actual infrastructure/vm state ? Running oVirt 4.4.5 VM cannot migrate between hosts. vdsm.log contains the following error: libvirt.libvirtError: operation failed: Failed to connect to remote libvirt URI qemu+tls://ovhost01.local/system: authentication failed: Failed to verify peer's certificate Certificates on hosts was renewed some time ago. Hello! We have only one 4.3 cluster and try to upgrade it to 4.4. I believe that engine-setup change the Cluster Setting "Default Network Provider" to "ovirt-provider-ovn" during upgrade procedure. So then we add freshly reinstalled RH8 host back to this cluster the oVirt tries to configure OVN on that host. But we don't want to use OVN. Is it safe to change this setting back to "No Default Provider" and continue hosts upgrade process ? Hello! Currently we run 4.1.9 and try to upgrade to the latest 4.2 release. Our DB server is on separate machine and run PostgreSQL 9.2.23. During upgrade the following error occurs: [WARNING] This release requires PostgreSQL server 9.5.9 but the engine database is currently hosted on PostgreSQL server 9.2.23 [ ERROR ] Please upgrade the PostgreSQL instance that serves the engine database to 9.5.9 and retry. Ok, so we need to upgrade PostgreSQL. The question is - do we need to have exact 9.5.9 version of PostgreSQL ? Because if we upgrade PostgreSQL to the latest available 9.5.12 the same error occurs saying that client and server version mismatched and upgrade terminates.
