[ovirt-users] Re: Need steps to downgrade engine from 4.4 to 4.3.

2020-02-26 Thread Lukas Svaty
Hi Ritesh,

I would try backing up database and trying to restore on 4.3 engine though
would expect issues you might need to clean it first.
Downgrade is definitely not something easily possible.

[ovirt-users] Re: Cannot enable maintenance mode

2019-10-16 Thread Lukas Svaty
Did you

"Consider manual intervention"

such as

"stopping" or "migrating Vms"

which are running on that host?

If you are trying to put host to maintenance, it will migrate all the VMs
somewhere else,
thus... you might have problem with migrations (try to migrate them to
other destination host) or power them off.

oVirt VM Pools, you can limit the amount of VMs user can allocate from a
pool

Re: [ovirt-users] change root password on hosts

2015-07-15 Thread Lukas Svaty
Host should work fine in your engine as it is communicating via VDSM with
engine.
Re-deployment (reinstall) of host in engine will ask for credentials, but will
be
also available via SSH key fingerprint (no need for new root password).
SSH fencing [1] is using the same fingerprint so it should work as well.
