[ovirt-users] New HCI with gluster

2020-03-30 Thread Ovirt User

I am performing a new install of 3 nodes
ovnode1 - 3 disks,install on first two disks
ovnode2 - 3 disks,install on first two disks
ovnode3 - 3 disks,install on first two disks

Storage network interfaces are configured with 192.168.xxx.10 no gateways
configured for this network
Data network interfaces are configured with 10.3.x.10

When i run the wizard it always fails. All 3 hosts are running the latest
stable (4.3.9). I have attached the log files from the runs on these hosts

Thanks livnat,

but i don't really understand .

The security group feature defines iptables rules on the note itself.

About that: how can i define security group rules ? and in a cluster, they are
automatically propagated al all nodes ?

thanks, but i mean how to obtain this information from Ovirt manager layer .. i
don't want install snmp in the single VM.. because customer can disable it …

 Hi,

You can get the information via snmp - here you can find some useful OIDs [1].

If I were you, I would have considered monitoring the VMs with zenoss [2]
(which uses snmp and already has all relevant OIDs).
It has a python api, so for creating the web page - I would have probably use
django [3] with zenoss' python api.

With that being said, there might be a way that I'm not aware about to get
 this information from ovirt.

 Hi Folks,

i am currently looking for a way to isolate each vms network traffic
so none can sniff others network traffic. currently i am playing
around with the neutron integration, which gives me more question
marks than answers for now (even documentation seems to be incomplete
 / outdated).

Is there any other solution, which does not require to create a new
vlan for each vm, to make sure that noone can sniff others traffic?

 Cheers,
