volumes used for gluster bricks.

After doing a a backup and restoring to a new oVirt management server check for
upgrade of hosts fails.
Also reinstall and enroll certificate fails.
The error message is

Also removing and adding a host back fails
The error message is

The logical networks are created and VMs have their ports created and attached on the hosts they run or migrate to but their are no geneve tunnels created and on the engine host "ovn-sbctl show" produces no output. Hello when we did a live upgrade of our VDC from 4.1 to 4.2 we had a large number of VMs running that had a Custom Compatibility Version set to 4.1 to allow them to keep running while the cluster and VDC were upgraded. Unfortunately there was a large number of snapshots taken be the users before they were restarted their VMs so they have the Custom_Compatibility_Version set to 4.1 and so can't run in the 4.2 VDC, is there a way to search for them in the API or SDK because I can only find them in the events log when they fail to start. Hello, our system was using a certificate from a third-party CA that needed to be renewed. I created a CSR from the certificate and key, I replaced the certificate with the new one ( I also had to replace the CA certificate-chain). restarted the apache server but could no longer authenticate to our AD. I ran engine-setup, restarted the engine and also reinstalled the ROOTCA of our AD in the keystore. I got the system running but is there a documented procedure for updating 3rd-party certificates when authenticating to AD. ProLiant DL360 Gen9 servers but are considering using Broadberry
TN200B7108-X4L Multi Node Servers.
I was wondering if anyone had experience of using them, they are quad-node

Hello, We are currently using oVirt for teaching and one of our requirements is for security such as IR PEN testing etc. We would like to create individual logical networks with a network profile that includes port mirroring, this is to reduce the amount of traffic they can see and the targets available. We are looking to to add VMs into Affinity Groups so they will run on the same host to make the port-mirror work but don't no if there is a limit on the number of logical networks that is allowed/practical. I've managed to upgrade them now by removing logical volumes, usually it's just /dev/onn/home but one I had to keep reinstalling see were it failed so had to lvremove /dev/onn/ovirt-node-ng-4.2.6.1-0.20180913.0+1 lvremove /dev/onn/var_crash lvremove /dev/onn/var_log lvremove /dev/onn/var_log_audit I had trouble removing because failed because it was in use since there was an abrt process holding onto the mount. Hello People, I have a 3 node cluster this just has virt service deployed, how would I add gluster service to this. We have installed 2 extra disks in each node and they are running oVirt Node 4.2.5.1 After we have a gluster service running how easy would it be to migrate an existing engine to Self Hosted Engine? Hi Sven, to test I created a new VM with a new hostname and fake IP addresses in /etc/hosts for the oVirt hosts/nodes so it won't interfere with the real hosts. I then did a full restore from backup and an engine rename. This leaves you with oVirt system but the no storage or hosts. Hi Hari, are you sure you want to assign the superuser permission for all the discovered users? What level are you applying it to as it means everyone can change or delete everything below that level. We put users into a directory group and give permissions to the group as Ondra suggested, then we only need to add users to oVirt if we need to add permissions to individual users. The system permissions are at the highest level so Everyone has UserRole for everything. If you go into Configure then System Permissions you can remove the UserRole permission. The default permission for Everyone is UserProfileEditor. Hello, as part of our policy I have to change from LDAP to Active Directory for authentication in our oVirt system. I have managed to configure a test system that allows users to login using the CN (sAMAccountName) as before. The users in the system using the AD namespace are using their UPN for their user name. Do we have to copy permissions from all the old accounts to their new accounts or is there a way to rename them to the UPN retaining there old permissions?
