Karli is right, this is a known issue with jboss-as-7.1.1-4, it has been
reported, it has been already fixed and it will be included in
jboss-as-7.1.1-5. Meanwhile you can use the previous version of jboss-as
(yum downgrade jboss-as) or manually create the symlinks as Karli explained.

 Nicholas,

Can you please attach this file?
It is attached. I am going to try the upgrade/downgrade as other's suggested
to see if that fixes it.
Many thanks and have a good weekend,

 Robert,
Thanks for that info. I rebooted and now jboss-as is dead and disabled
(not starting it!), ovirt-engine reports and active and postgresql
 reports as active.
Still no web interface though :(

  Updated:
There might be some useful information in
  /var/log/ovirt-engine/server.log, so I attached it.
I also caught this in /var/log/messages. Not sure if it's related:
postgres (723): /proc/723/oom_adj is deprecated, please use
  /proc/723/oom_score_adj instead.
  There is *nothing* in engine.log

2012-07-26 Thread Karli Sjöberg
Hi,

there´s something weird about jboss update, jboss-as-7.1.0-4.fc17.noarch, it´s
missing some links:

# ln -s /usr/share/java/jboss-jaxr-1.0-api.jar
/usr/share/jboss-as/modules/javax/xml/registry/api/main/jboss-jaxr-1.0-api.jar
# ln -s /usr/share/java/xmlsec.jar
/usr/share/jboss-as/modules/org/apache/santuario/xmlsec/main/xmlsec.jar
# systemctl restart ovirt-engine.service
