If so, simply deconfigure/remove it on the source system before taking a
new backup and then restore that backup on the target device.

Hello!

No, I do not use cinderlib! It may be, that the restore process want to 
activate cinder per default in the new engine. So it could not find it's 
counterpart in die backup-file. If so, there should be an option like 
--no-cinder or so for the restore process.

Yes, there is an open bug tracked at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/1707225
 about handling
cinderlib integration in the backup.
It's targeted for 4.3.6.

Honestly I don't see any workaround other than trying to manually backup
and restore the cinderlib DB.
