Re: [ovirt-users] changing the mtu on bridge devices
Hi Gary. First, In oVirt 3.6 we will enable editing a few network attributes while there vms attached to it. The reason this is forbidden is that until v3.6, by default, vdsm will recreate the network for every network edition and this can seriously disturb the network for the running vms. Second, if you want to tweak the MTU you should use 'ip link set dev mtu 9000' for each device in the network (Bridge, Vlan device, Bond, physical NIC). Then, you should edit vdsm persistence json files under both /var/run/vdsm/netconf// and /var/lib/vdsm/persistence/netconf//. You should find a file for each network/bond under those paths. On the engine DB you should find the proper row in the 'network' table and update the 'mtu' attribute. Good luck, Ido On Thu, Nov 12, 2015 at 4:45 PM, Gary Lloyd wrote: > Hi we have upgraded to ovirt 3.5.5 and it seems to have gone well. [ovirt-users] qemu version in oVirt CentOS 7.1 repos
Hi there, with the advent of oVirt 3.6 and our aging FC20 nodes I'm searching for a replacement. Until today I always matched oVirt on CentOS 7.1 hypervisors to qemu 2.1.2. That would make no difference to our already running Fedora virt-preview 2.1.3 version. Looking at http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-3.6/rpm/el7/x86_64/ it seems as if qemu 2.3.0 found its way into the newer CentOS repos. Can someone confirm if I got that right. Best regards. [ovirt-users] [BACKUPS] oVirt 3.6 Backups
heya-- Trying to get oVirt backups working after seeing the notifications in my admin interface that no backups have occurred. I am having a few dramas running it. [ovirt-users] [EVENTS] oVirt event about storage domain
heya-- I am running a 3.6 cluster using hosted-engine. I have finally got the cluster running and left it over the weekend. Today however in my Events panel in the manager interface I am seeing this entry: The Hosted Engine Storage Domain doesn't no exist. It should be imported into the setup. I go to import data into my cluster and it says there is no data domains to import. In 3.5 this was never an issue and the hosted-engine pool was never visible in the management interface.
