I have been seeing that sogo complains of not being able to find its profile
URL. I have mentioned it in the configuration file, but yet it complains so.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot. I thought of what you said, changing the ownership, but sogo
was not showing this previously in the log. Anyways thanks, I will try doing
that. I have got everything setup almost, as in the database part. But I
keep getting the error
1)Configurtion for SOGo was not found. So it wont work properly.
2)SOGoProfileURL is not set, even though I have set it in .GNUstepDefaults.
3)Authentication method is not mentioned, which also has been set.

I guess LDAP is a little bit too big for my purposes. I have about 5 clients
right now and it will prob not get bigger than 10.
I didn't find setup instructions for mysql (I am familiar with that). Could
you be so kind and point me in the right direction?

I think so. I didn't use the apache-config since apache didn't start when I
put in the suggested config. I guess there is something missing (proxy
prob). But it runs on http://mydomain.tld:2

Thank you very much for your help!

For running SOGo you don't need LDAP, you can use a mysql or postgresql for it.
LDAP has many pros, especially when you use SOGo in a network with more then 5
;-) PCs.
But when you are not familiar with LDAP, try the database setup at first.

[SOGo] perfect confusion

2010-08-05 Thread esprit1st
Hi guys,

I needed something to synchronize several desktop computers and mobile devices
(addressbooks, calenders).
I used just funambol for that.
Now I found out about SOGo and really like it.

I had big troubles installing ldap on debian (since I never used it before).
The installation guide seemed easy but the ldif files didn't work. However I
think it works now.

I tried to log in using the web interface. Just nothing happened (An unhandled
error occurred). No output in the logfile!

Then I thought: ok, try the mozilla connector but that didn't even install (TB
3.1.1 with Lightning 1.0b2).

So basically 2 questions:
- why is the webinterface not working
- why is it not possible to install the TB connector

Thank you very much for your help!!

Look at 'ModulesConstraints' in the manual. You can limit through LDAP

[SOGo] help with mysql

2010-08-05 Thread Arvind K
Hi all, I am new to sogo. I have been able to install sogo on my Ubuntu
10.04 installation, and am using mysql as a backend. I have got few
questions:
1) What should be the value of "id" is SOGoUsersSources when am using mysql,
should it be left as 'directory' or should it be changed to the database
name?
2)Do I need to manually create users in the database, the ones who would
login to sogo? If so, what should be the table structure?
3)Whenever I restart sogo service, I get the error that no configuration has
been done, so sogo will not work properly. Should I just ignore it?
Thanks in advance.

CalDAV and CardDAV. Not sure if you want to move this stuff away from
your Axigen setup.

Basically SOGo does calendaring/contacts and you plug your own
smtp/imap/ldap back end in to it

In english is somthing like
Errore during reading of calendar data, Code of error: DAV_NOT_DAV.
https://nethservice.neth**.it/SOGo/dav/alessio/Calendar/personal/ is not a DAV collection or is not
available

It's ok for the italian because I am french-speaking but I guess it would be a
bit better indeed for
the other list members...

When this happens, do you have any request reaching SOGo ? And do you have any
request reaching your
frontend server ?

Nothing on sogo.log, nothing on tcpdump.
Same connector+integrator installed on ubuntu lucid works!
Obviously lightning is not the same.
I'll test on another pc :-|
Thanks

[SOGo] General info in Sogo

2010-08-05 Thread anirudha.patil
Hello Team,

I liked this concept of sogo, but a better understanding on the underlying
usage of sogo would help me further.

As per my understanding, Sogo, relies on other component to create a mailing
solution or support an existing one.

My queries are :

a) Is Sogo a Mail server?
b) I have a scenario,
I have a mail server (Axigen) ready
I have integrated it with an LDAP (openldap)
Im looking out for webmail interface for my underlying Axigen.
Now , where do the Sogo fit in it this.
Does Sogo provide me with Webmail interface?
If yes, then can it be integrated with LDAP.
Also, what additional use do i have with Sogo for my particular scenario?

Regards
Anirudha Patil

[SOGo] Problem sharing folders

2010-08-05 Thread echarton1
Hello
I have an issue with inbox or folder sharing on my server. When I share an
inbox or a folder to an other user, it seams to work (no errors logged) but the
folder does not appear for the other user and I get no "Other users" or
"Shared" folder in sogo web (the foldernames are configured in
.GNUstepDefaults). I also noticed I cannot create an high level folder thru
sogo web interface (but steel no logs), I can create only "inbox" subfolders.
So I am wondering if I missed some prerequisites to make it work (I tried to
create sharable folders using maildirmake, but no change), I searched in the
doc and in the forum but found no clue. I use Postfix with courier-imap and
ldap. Would one of you have interesting information about that to share which
could help?
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Eric

Such thing is NOT SUPPORTED. SOGo is not a real HTTP server so don't use
it directly and use Apache + mod_proxy or nginx in front of it.

sogod, openldap and postgresql are all hosted on different computers.

my GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults is as follows:
