Hi Mark, thx for your help. I changed my settings according to your emails, but I had no luck. Now there is no redirecting anymore between the two domains, but he always tries to authenticate against domain.b. To make things clear I created a user n...@domain.a and the same user n...@domain.b to check if sogo goes to the right direction. Right now it is possible to authenticate with the user n...@domain.b on both domains. Mark, can you post your SOGo and Apache configuration? [SOGo] Sogo Lightning 100% CPU
Hi, Still facing this issue - so I switched from the inverse nightly build of lightning to the one supplied with my distro (Fedora 13 64 bit). I am still getting 100% cpu utilisation whilst the calendar is queried. The task list starts to fill up and then it disappears. I use sogo server alway with dns name, like sogo.domaain.a If i use IP, and the dns is not resolved, after the login my browser is redirect on https://sogo.domain.a/SOGo and error occurs How can use IP? o more then an IP? Dear all After i had luckily managed to access the webinterface with support from this list i ran into another problem. To be honest i am not a LDAP guru, not an expirienced user at all. [SOGo] TB 3.1+Lightning 1.0b2 (Inverse Nightly)+CalDAV via https: Calendars disappear
Hi! I am running SOGo 1.2.2 on CentOS5. A number of clients use Thunderbird and Lightning. They access the server via CalDAV and https with a self-created certificate. Everything used to work fine when the clients were still at Thunderbird 2 and Lightning 0.1 (Inverse Edition). Unfortunately, a number of them recently upgraded to Thunderbird 3.1 (3.1.2). Which in turn prompted a Lightning upgrade. I have advised them to go to the latest Lightning Nightly from Inverse (lightning-1.0b2.102ipre2 of 08/09/2010), but the odd behaviour continues: The calendar events are no longer displayed in Lightning. They are visible in the webinterface, though. Whenever adding a new event, it is displayed in Lightning for a short time, but then disappears. At least after the next Thunderbird restart. Again, the webinterface still displays the newly created events. I believe to have read about this behaviour, but seem to be unable to locate the thread. Can anybody advise what happens here and if there is a way to overcome the problem? Would SOGo-Connector/-Integrator installation help in any way? Or a newer SOGo version on the server? Hi all, While trying to do a /usr/GNUstep/System/Tools/Admin/sogo-tool backup ~/backup-08-September-2010/ ALL and I get /usr/GNUstep/System/Tools/Admin/sogo-tool: Uncaught exception NSCharacterConversionException, reason: Can't get cStringLength from Unicode string. Aborted How can I figure out which is the abusing user and is there another way to fix this? Dominique, Both use the same nightly build of the SOGo connector with the standard Lightning for TB. In TB 3.0.x events created in the calendar stay available after restart, in TB 3.1.x they disappear. In both cases they appear correctly in the Web base version of SOGo. We decided not to use the Inverse version of Lightning as it does not allow us to connect to Google calendars at the same time. I am not sure what we are losing from the standard lightning version. Then this combination has a chance to work based on your experience: - WindowsXP - Thunderbird 3.1.2 - Lightning 1.0b2 (standard, not Inverse edition) - sogo-connector-3.102pre1.xpi Is that correct? I have so far been very happy with the Inverse Edition(s) of Lightning. Nevertheless I would not mind a quick-and-dirty workaround for a few weeks due to pending other urgent projects pending. This error is not serious per se but it means that your memcached setup
is not working. Are you sure the memcached daemon is launched?

Actually, we got it working with TB 3.0.x, and the rest of the configuration you mention: - WindowsXP - Lightning 1.0b2 (standard, not Inverse edition) - sogo-connector-3.102pre1.xpi TB version 3.1.x creates the same problem you describe - disappearing events in calendars. Downgrading from TB 3.1 to 3.0 does also fixes the problem. What does the Inverse edition of lightning offers that is not in the standard edition? Mark, I just installed the inverse lightning and sogo connector on our win7 test machine: results: not only it did not solve the disappearing events and tasks problem, but I know remember why we did not use the inverse lightning version. it disables the Google calendars. The way I solve that problem is to use the full email address as the login. If
you have m...@domain.a and m...@domain.b and login just as mark SOGo will show
m...@domain.a. However if you set SOGo to login with full email address then

Hi Dominique, I've also problems with SOGo in combination with other calendaring systems like Google. I reported this bug months ago with the 1st pre-release of plugins or TB3.x but it still seems to exist. The problems exists if you use the SOGo-Connector plugin. If you only use TB3.x and Lightning STD there's no problem. One way to get it running with TB3.1 is to enable Caching for the Google calendar. I think it's a problem introduced through the SOGo plugins which seem to require caching of the calendars even of foreign calendars. As I remember right I had to play a little bit, delete old profile and restart a few times but than it worked. Now I'm running TB3.1.3 with Lightning Invers, SOGo Connector and SOGo Integrator (all from nightlies). Running only SOGo Connector was to troublesome as it doesn't work good with Lightning STD. The only problem with this solutions is that the Google calendar is marked read-only nearly after every reboot and you've to edit calendar properties if you want to add/change events in it. So I'm back on TB 3.1.3 with Sogo Connector and Lightning by Inverse and no Provider for Google Calendar Results: Although access to the SOGo calendar is there, I still have no entries And the new one, I create through TB are stored coorectly in SOGo but disappear on TB restart. No luck with the Google Calendars: Setup went well, but no data is loading. Hm, I didn't have the problems with disappearing events. That worked always good also with TB3.0 and 3.1 But as mentioned I had to play a little bit to get Google calendar working. It's some time ago but if I remember right the solution was to create a new profile or remove the cache.sqlite. Try this out. And ENABLE caching for Google calendar. That's very important! Your other question was how to enable google calendar with caldav: for details use google's search. There you can find good descriptions. [SOGo] Can't login into webinterface

I set passwordPolicy NO in my GNUstepDefaults. Has anyone an idea, what's wrong ? If it is helpful i can also post the complete GNUstepDefaults file. Actually, we got it working with TB 3.0.x, and the rest of the configuration you mention: - WindowsXP - Lightning 1.0b2 (standard, not Inverse edition) - sogo-connector-3.102pre1.xpi TB version 3.1.x creates the same problem you describe - disappearing events in calendars. Downgrading from TB 3.1 to 3.0 does also fixes the problem. Sorry, one more clarifying question: Were you able to successfully install Lightning 1.0b2 (any edition) on Thunderbird 3.0?
