First check if the system user sogo and its home directory were made
during package installation. If they are there, then configure SOGo,
as described in the documentation, using the defaults tool (
defaults write sogod directive ), and then restart sogo.

Show your SOGo configure _AND_ your SOGo's Apache configuration file. We
haven't yet developed the skills to go read those magically everywhere.

No. You can only disable all notifications related to events (with
 SOGoAppointmentSendEMailNotifcations).

Thanks for the quick reply! Would it be appropriate for me to add a feature
 request for this?

Sure. I think it wouldn't go against the standards to offer such an option.
Here's an extract from RCF 2446 (iTIP):

3.2.2.2 Updating or Reconfirmation of an Event

The Organizer of an event may also send unsolicited REQUEST
methods. The unsolicited REQUEST methods may be used to update the
details of the event without rescheduling it, to update the
partstat parameter of Attendees, or to reconfirm the event.

Ok, Here is a summary of what we are seeing... Should I file a bug report?

When viewing a calendar event created by the current user in
Thunderbird, or through the web interface, after clicking on the
'Attendees' link via the Inverse Lightning plugin, the small round
graphics that indicate attendee status are missing.

When clicking on a calendar event that the current user has not created
but has been invited to, the small round graphics that indicate attendee
status are visible and correct.

1) This problem exists in both Debian and Ubuntu, 64 and 32 bit.

2) This problem does not exist under Windows.

All installs were tested using the Mozilla Thunderbird build from the
Mozilla website, as well as the Ubuntu version of Thunderbird.

All installs were done from scratch including a default OS install.

Problem is easily duplicated:

Install Debian Squeeze with default installation settings, then install
Thunderbird from the Mozilla site, then install Lightning and connector
from the SOGo site, then install the modified version of integrator to
attach to your server.

Thunderbird is currently installed in '/usr/local/thunderbird'.

Error log shows no errors or warnings.

Please advise any additional tests you would like us to run...

Again, should we file a bug report?

Thanks again in advance,

This issue appears to only effect Linux Debian and Ubuntu. I have tested
and verified that the status indicator icons appear properly in the
 Windows version.

My testing is limited to 64bit Debian, and 32bit Ubuntu, as all our
office systems run Squeeze 64bit, and my laptop runs 32bit Ubuntu.

Sorry for not bringing this fact out sooner. Please advise on any
additional steps you would like us to do to test this further.

Are you using the Thunderbird from the official's Thunderbird website?
Lightning from sogo.nu? If not (to both questions), that's your problem.

You might want to sniff the IMAP session for that user (SOGo - IMAP

[SOGo] sogo connector and carddav

2011-01-06 Thread Tomaž Štucin

Hi,

I've successfully setup sogo and it worka OK but I have 2 questions for
which I cannot find the answer.
1. Is it possible to have a fancier url when connecting to an address
book/calendar via thunderbird (+sogo connector) than
http://sogo.example.com/SOGo/dav/user123/Contacts/C7B-4D082300-1-2C48A9C/ (or
similar)? How is a user supposed to get that url anyway (I forged it
from the data I've found in sogo DB and it actually works!)
2. For the problem under 1. I have successfuly setup a script + some
apache rewrite rules so I can use
http://calendar.example.com/user123/calendar_name/ and it works (I can
post them somewhere if anybody is interested). The problem is with the
contacts as the sogo connector is somehow hardcoded so that the url must
include SOGo in it or it will not even make a request. Is this a bug
or a feature? Is it possible to turn it off?

Thank you very much for your answers.

best regards

OK, glad you got SOGo to
compile on FreeBSD. What version do you use btw? I'm using
  8.1-RELEASE myself. For reference, I don't think I actually
needed to add to LD_LIBRARY_PATH for it to install for me, if you
source the GNUstep.sh file, it should be enough to compile
  SOPE/SOGo:

  #source /usr/local/GNUstep/System/Library/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh

After a make install, you need to copy from the source files the
  "SOGo-1.3.4/Apache/SOGo.conf" to
