Hello,

thank you for your work. Will Bug 633 http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=633
"Alarms aren't synced correctly. Conversion necessary! " also be addressed in

Interesting plugin, thanks for pointing it out. It looks like a good
way to support Outlook until OpenChange is production ready.

I just tried it, I get an error when I press "test account settings",
but the calendar actually works out of the box. The contacts don't
sync however, and I couldn't find the problem quickly and don't have
time for a long debug session at the moment.

[SOGo] Shared Address Book

2011-04-19 Thread Floyd Resler
I am attempting to set up a shared address book with SOGo and Thurderbird. I
have followed the instructions in the documentation but I have no idea why it
isn't working. How do I tell if it's working in Thunderbird? I modified the
extensions.rdf file as instructed. However, I have no idea where to put the
updates.php file on my server. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

[SOGo] Configure Signature in Webmail

2011-04-19 Thread Ben
I've got SOGo 1.3.6 running on Debian Lenny. Maybe I missing something
obvious, but how can a user set his/her signature? In the preferences
window, there is a grayed out option for where to place the signature,
but I can't find anything about setting the content of the signature.

Thanks,

[SOGo] Nonstandard warning in sogo log

2011-04-19 Thread Anil Thapa
Hello all,

In my sogo log I have tons of non-standard warking message as :

 WARNING: nonstandard use of \\ in a string literal
LINE 1: UPDATE sogo_user_profile SET c_settings = '{"Mail": {"Dr...
  ^
HINT: Use the escape string syntax for backslashes, e.g., E'\\'.

Then I read in SOGo FAQ that this can be ignored

http://www.sogo.nu/fr/support/faq/article/i-get-nonstandard-use-of-%5C%5C-in-a-string-literal-in-my-sogo-logs-is-this-normal.html

However, my postgres shows me "standard_conforming_strings: if off

sogo=# SHOW standard_conforming_strings;
 standard_conforming_strings
-
 off
(1 row)

Then I tried,
sogo=# alter database sogo set standard_conforming_strings = 'on';
ALTER DATABASE

This turned on the starndard_conforming_strings on -

After doing this the warning message has disappeard. But I am not sure if this
is the right way of doing it. I also read similar post with googling.

[SOGo] Webmin SOGo module not honoring changed path to "GNUstep defaults command"

2011-04-19 Thread Christian Kowarzik

Hi everyone,

the "Full path to GNUstep defaults command" option in the module configuration
page is not used by the other module pages (i.e. "General Preferences", "User
Source", etc.). So if your "defaults" command is not in the evironment PATH the
pages will only show default values, but not your configuration...

I'm not understanding what you are trying to do... The subdirectory is
specified by the username of the authenticated user. If you have the
recommended proxypass statements in your iOS virtual host definition (from the
manual):

  ProxyPassInterpolateEnv On
  ProxyPass /principals http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/dav/ interpolate
  ProxyPass /SOGo http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo interpolate
  ProxyPass / http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/dav/ interpolate

apache should redirect you to the proper 'subdirectory' when iOS logs in... if
you log in as user 'sogo', the resulting url is

   http(s)://acme.com:88[00,43]/SOGo/dav/sogo

Am I missing what you are trying to say?

Two questions:

1) Do you tried to access more than one addressbook?

I can access a 2nd addressbook with iPhone, but not with Apple Address Book.

2) Do you tried to add a photo into a contact and have the photo in sync with
SOGo, Apple Address Book, Thunderbird and iPhone/iPad?

Thank you very much!

[SOGo] buggy MD5 in SOGoSigh?

2011-04-19 Thread Comune di Cossato - Andrea Ferraris
After the warm welcome I received in the list with hundred of reply here
and personnally to my question about *ERROR: relation "sogo_view" does
not exist*, I'm again here full of love and hope.

Now I'm trying to use the password (md5) of my linux and e-mail users in
SOgo, but the old Linux password (the server is five years old) seems to
be different (maybe really too archaic?) from the SOgo ones, also if in
the .GNUstepDefaults I have
userPasswordAlgorithm
md5
so I'm wondering how I can translate those password to working SOgo ones.

I toke the Linux ones and put them in SOgo with psql like that:

INSERT INTO sogo_view VALUES ('alice', 'alice', 'linux-md5-password',
'Alice Thompson', 'alice-PV5Ro7/m...@public.gmane.org');

I also found those interesting information that could be true:

[SOGo] missing "Freebusy URL" field in thunderbird contact details

2011-04-19 Thread Christian Kowarzik

Hi everyone,

in my Thunderbird contact details there is no "Freebusy URL" field like in sogo
webinterface. Shouldn't one show up with sogo-connector installed?

What to do?

My environment:
Thunderbird-3.1.9.win32 (no other add-ons than sogo-connector, sogo-integrator
and lightning-1.0b2.105i (inverse edition) installed)

sogo-1.3_20110412-1.el5
sogo-connector-3.105.xpi
sogo-integrator-3.105.xpi (configured to use our backend-server and working
great)
lightning-1.0b2.105i.xpi (inverse edition)

Thanks inverse team and all others supporting sogo for that great work!

Re: [SOGo] Error 404 before using the SOGo Web interface

2011-04-19 Thread Yvan LE BOUFFANT

Hello there,

it's been a long time since the last time I bothered you. Today, I have
a great news for you (or maybe just for me, but, anyway...) : I solved
my problem.

My solution is maybe a bit "dirty", but it works !
Here it is :
sogo-integrator/chrome/content/messenger/folders-update.js line 40 adding :

available = (xmlRequest.status != 404);
//if not available, it's maybe just not initialized.
if(!available){
  var prompts =
Components.classes["@mozilla.org/embedcomp/prompt-service;1"]

  .getService(Components.interfaces.nsIPromptService);
  var username = {value: sogoConfig['username']};
  var password = {value: ""};
  var check = {value: false};
  //Prompt the sogo username and password.
  var result = prompts.promptUsernameAndPassword(window,
"Initialisation", "Vos identifiant et mot de passe", username, password,
null, check);

  if(result){
var params = "userName=" + username.value + "&password=" +
password.value;

//Send a connect request
xmlRequest.open("POST", "https://domain.com/SOGo/connect";, true);

xmlRequest.setRequestHeader("Content-type",
"application/x-www-form-urlencoded");

xmlRequest.setRequestHeader("Content-length", params.length);
xmlRequest.setRequestHeader("Connection", "close");
xmlRequest.send(params);

//Set the "right" username
setSOGoUserName(input.value);
this.baseURL = sogoBaseURL();

//Retry connection
xmlRequest.open("OPTIONS", this.baseURL + this.type, false);
xmlRequest.send("");
available = (xmlRequest.status != 404);
  }
}

Also, I needed the setSOGoUserName function so in
sogo-integrator/chrome/content/sogo-config.js line 26

function setSOGoUserName(newName){
  sogoConfig['username'] = newName;
  //Also need to reinitialise the baseURL
  sogoConfig['baseURL'] = null;
}

And finally suppress the overlay of the dialog in
sogo-integrator/chrome.manifest line 13 :

overlay chrome://global/content/commonDialog.xul
chrome://sogo-integrator/content/global/common-dialog-overlay.xul

That way, the first time, if the person who is connecting will be
prompted his login and password, and he isn't stuck anymore.

By the way, the other users are also unlocked.

Thanks for your help, and I hope this may be people in such a situations.

Greetings

Yvan

Steve

I'm not in charge of the Mail server, but I know that LDAP is not connected
to it (because of some security and availability reasons). In SOGo server
configuration, there is the (very useful) option SOGoForceIMAPLoginWithEmail
which works well, and I looked for such an option in the Integrator, but I
didn't find it. Maybe there is a method to prompt the SOGo username only the
first time ? Or, to set it in the preferences ?

Our setup we've been testing here uses common directory for IMAP and
SOGo authentication. As such, we can use SASL to obtain the
information we need using binds and directory searches. It sounds like
your mailstore (IMAP) is completely separated so you can't do that.
Also, I was in a similar situation to you, but in reverse. I wanted to
use uid for mail store and email address for SOGo. For that, I used
the file defaults/preferences/site.js in the sogo-integrator directory
and included the line:

pref("sogo-integrator.identification.use_email_address", true);

You might look into the file this is referring to
(chrome/content/sogo-config.js) and try to adjust it to fit your
requrements. Your problem is going to be more difficult to solve
though as it's not as easy for SOGo to deduce the uid.
